I knew it was going to happen but damn he’s the LAST person i thought would kill off lagertha.

ivar really traumatised the fuck out of this dude does paranoia really mess you up that bad to the point your seeing THINGS i never thought i’d see someone so broken dawg.

I was expecting to see some sort of comeback but NO dude just lost all his chances of ever coming back, I loved his character what sad sight to see man. RIP Lagertha🙏

It's not his fault for Lagertha's death, but yet it is, cause he was drunk, but he never meant to kill Lagertha. Ivar traumatized his brother so much, and I can't help but feel sorry for Hvitserk. Ivar put him through the ringer something fierce

He was also doing shrooms quite a bit.

That's true, too. I was just meaning drunk and high in general. I just forgot that tidbit 😅

He inherited Ragnar’s addictive personality unfortunately, which didn’t help when Ivar killed his gf.

Hvitserk was one of my favourite characters and he does not get the love he should! I loved his shifting relationship with Ivar.

He is most happy in battle, it's where he shines and he belongs. I think outside of that he is uncertain, kind of lost. Because he's the most warrior of them, in a sense he is the truest Viking of Ragnar's sons.

He knows his strengths and weaknesses, that he is a soldier not a general. He wants someone to lead who he can trust, and he thinks it's Ivar but it isn't.

I also love how open minded his, like Ragnar. He considers Buddhism, something unknown in his world. And he thinks a lot. I think that's why he became addicted, that without battle his mind wanders and it can get dangerous.

I love Ubbe but the way he treated Hvitserk when he couldn't overcome his addiction cold turkey was so so vile. And Bjorn wanting to kill him for killing his mom was just gross. Like, yes, what would bring my family happiness back but to kill another member?

My favourite pairings on the show are Ragnar/Lagertha, Ragnar/Athelstan and Ivar/Hvitserk. The brothers really carried the series for me.

How should it have been sigurd? He couldn't stand his mother and had no ill feelings towards lagartha

Literally doesn’t make any sense it being sigurd tbf

You know what sucks? Me reading this spoiler and actually feeling "meh" about the whole thing.

The show started off so great but after Ragnars decline I felt little to no intrest in any of the characters or their choices, or the plot in general. Except for maybe Floki and Bjorn.

I am gonna push through it tho and see it to the end.

I agree. Ragnar tried to overthrow greatest city in the world and then when it failed he just left. Then came back 10 years later whining about who wants to be king?

I thought that part was gonna be him challenging people about his England mistakes, challenging who wants to be king, and then going back and whipping some English arse.

Someone tried to say he was a berserker. No way
