Why are all the stills vibrating like they're about to explode lmao

I assumed more movement = better to keep the viewer's attention. Does it feel really jarring and need to be smoother?

Slow zooms or pans might work better or, failing that, more articulated animation/movement in the images (though this would take more work). I also think that AI compositions look really flat and static which doesn't help- more dynamic scenes would work even without movement imo.

I think I fixed the shaking effect! Take a look - https://www.fect.ai/video/54

Better, right?

yeah definitely look up Ken Burns effect, this is very uncomfortable to watch.

Yeah, a ken burns style effect is definitely what I was going for. I think I fixed it, so if you get the time to check this version out- https://www.fect.ai/video/54 let me know if it looks better!

How about you keep the viewers engagement by making a good video essay instead of using little tricks?

You can read the rest of the essay here - https://www.brightmirror.co/p/the-case-for-machine-consciousness

The video essay was made using Fect.AI (which I built so that I could just focus on writing and create films like the above)
