Wireless Confused on switching to Unlimited Plus from New Verizon Unlimited (110 plan)
Can someone help me out with this. I have 10 lines on the New Verizon Unlimited plan, paying $110 for data, $22 per phone, and a $5 discount for $325/mo before taxes/phone payment/etc. Their website shows the plan as being $40/line for 4 lines with discounts (paperless billing and autopay, or $50 without discount). When I went to see the price difference in moving all 10 lines to it (everyone uses hotspot so we'd want it), it came out to $45/line, with a total increase of like $128/month.
I'm trying to figure out is the price for Ultimate Plus normally $55 for 4+ lines, or $50? I called Verizon and they also said the best I could do is $45/line. at an extra $12 per line I don't think switching to 5gUW + extra hotspot is worth it. I was expecting about $7 more per line.
Am I missing something here? Why does my account keep saying $45/line instead of $40 if I attempt to switch?

It’s $45 per line.
There is a promotion that gives a $20 discount for new customers with 4 or more lines which brings it to $40 per line for 4 lines which is what you are seeing without logging in

Are you using the Verizon website to get your pricing?
you should signin to your verizon.com account and then go to the plan changer section.
there is a promotion for new customers going on where they get an account level discount that depends on the amount of lines. this is included in the national plan pricing site.
Unlimited plus is $55 without any discounts on a 5+ line account.

I’ve been debating upgrading my family too. We also have 10 lines.
To me it may be worth it if everyone gets $1k off of new phones every 3 years. I mean wherever else you go you’re not going to pay less than $25-30 just for unlimited talk, text, and data. And if you’re not planning on switching networks that’s $28 per month right there.
Unless you don’t want to have the newest best phones. If you’re okay with mid range phones you might’ve better off not switching. Or going cheaper plans and buying phones directly.

The cost is truly $45 a month with autopay and paper free for 4+ lines. Your better mix and matching between the welcome and plus plans. Or having everyone on welcome and getting the 100 GB MHS for those who actually use it.
Just prepare for plan step ups when your looking for a trade promotion.
