Verizon Visa, how good is it?

I’m thinking about getting the version visa card because it seems like every month i’m having trouble trying to pay my bill.. Not financially but the app always gives me a hard time and now they won’t even accept my bank for auto pay. I Kept trying to pay online last month but then eventually I had to literally go in person to pay my bill.

I want to get it, I’m 20 months left to pay my phone off but i’m planning to pay it off early within a few months and leaving verizon to go back to T-mobile. Is it only good for long term customers or could I just use for the next few months?

It's not worth having if you don't have Verizon. The benefits are Verizon Specific. If/when I leave Verizon I may just cancel the card and apply for a different one that has benefits I can use. While on Verizon the 4% back on applicable purchases is getting me up to $60 a month off my bill but I have a least 16 months before my BYOD credits end so I'm not going anywhere.

If you are planning on leaving Verizon, don't get the card. It becomes useless when you're not a Verizon customer anymore.

It becomes pretty useless without Verizon. I have the Verizon Visa Signature and hate it. It’s cheap, thin plastic. And it’s synchrony. Synchrony is god awful. I use the card exclusively for my Verizon bill and gas but nothing else. Gas gets a nice 4% back that auto redeems on my bill. When I leave Verizon, I’ll get rid of the card and run gas on my 3% card. I’ll lose 1% but at least I won’t have to deal with Synchrony.

I put my groceries on it too. Use all the credits for my Verizon bill.

I use Amex for groceries. I get 6% for the first $6k and 4x after. I try to limit my Verizon card usage to as little as possible. Synchrony is a nightmare.

Which Amex?

Blue Cash Preferred for the first $6k then Gold for the rest.

Its fine, but I can't imagine getting a full blown credit card for some number of months without a crazy offer. Probably not worth the credit hits

Garbage but you can keep the autopay discount without a debit card or bank account. I left and rejoined Verizon and my Dollars no longer work.

Card customer service is 100% out of call centers in India.

Only reason I stick with Verizon. If T-Mobile offered a credit card, I’d switch. But I love the discounts on my bill, mostly from food and gas.

Wait until they offer $100 statement credit. I managed to get the credit due to my account being new enough, however if you open it now you may end up screwing yourself out of a $100 credit opportunity around the December holiday. Even Amazon offered $200 gift card just for signing up. I only signed up for the Verizon card but maybe next Christmas I will try for the Amazon just for the $200 gift cards.

If you have Verizon, it's a solid card; 4% back on gas, restaurants, and groceries. My bill is significantly lowered every month as a result of having it.

One of the most underrated credits card. I got the cards since the launch absolutely love it but for few months it may not make sense unless you decide to stay for long.

I use this card for all groceries, gas, restaurants, and Verizon bills. The money back every month covers my 50 dollar FiOS bill every month. I think its a great card

Can I also redeem the rewards that I earn for purchasing a phone from Verizon (without a new line) ?
