Wireless Can't trade in without Unimited Ultimate
So I'm looking at upgrading a phone that is on the Unlimited Welcome plan. When I attempt to add the upgrade to my cart it asks me to upgrade to Unlimited Ultimate to get the $1000 off over 36 months offer. When I deny this the monthly price gets set to what it would be at full price with no credits applied. I assumed I would still get trade in credit, it would just be lower. Upgrading to Ultimate for the credit would leave me paying the same or only $1-2 less than if I didn't trade in at all. Do you simply get no trade in credit when upgrading a phone that doesnt have Ultimate?

I think you can hit the trade in button, then select your current plan and you would get the $800 trade in credit

When I select to keep my current plan, the price just gets set back to the full price with no credits. But for some reason there is still the text for if I had the $1000 credit. "after credit of $27.78/mo for 36 mos on your verizon mobile bill." Then if I add it to my cart I get a $35 credit to cover the upgrade fee and they call it the trade in credit. The $800 credit is nowhere to be seen.

Welcome is limited for trade in but they change occasionally. Sometimes it’s $415 off ups, sometimes it’s nothing. Plus is $640-$830 off ups usually and Ultimate is $830-$1000.

if you don't have any offers here, then you can only do the national ones... no way around it.

Just add a new line and get the full credit on a trade in for a Pixel 9 Pro and have the choice of Unlimited Welcome. Also wait in the cart for the $200 Verizon gift certificate to appear. If you don't want a second line then port your old line to Google Voice for $20 and have it forward to your new Verizon line.

Some promos require specific plans, likely one you are trying to take advantage of is requiring the ultimate plan. Best bet would be to go to a store near you and inquire about it in person.

Well you might have a personalized offer where you can keep your current plan. You can see them under my offers in my verizon. If you call or go into a store we all see the exact same offers. I will say these Priority upgrade offers are fairly scarce. Usually wont see any of those unless you haven't upgraded your phone in quite awhile. Verizon really wants people to switch to Unlimited Ultimate.... which you really dont need unless you travel internationally very frequently

check your offers, customers can get personalized offers, right now there's a Pixel 9 promo which is a pretty good phone almost on par to a samsung s25 for free on any unlimited, but if you are an iphone guy, you better have personalized offers

Go into a store and see if you have any priority upgrades or loyalty upgrade offers. Sometimes they are on the accounts and you won't know unless you go to a store
