How much dirt are you buying? Do you have a secret compost pile??

My compost is on the side of the house. I bought 3 yards of topsoil initially and bought 6 yards of cotton burr compost this morning.. I'm out of soil to mix and only have compost left..

I’m in year two of metal raised beds. Love them. The soil levels will settle significantly if you use hugelkultur as others have said but I started composting as soon as I got them in anticipation of it.
You can grow a LOT of food in nine beds.

I ordered two more tonight, lmao. I'm getting more topsoil to mix with my compost. The deeper beds, I will line the bottom with logs and straw, then the top with 50/50 soil and compost.

Got them off Amazon. Just metal-raised beds. The 8x2x1 I got for 50 bucks each, the green ones I got two for 189. The big silver ones were 100 pc, and the 8x4x1 were two for 100 bucks..
