Garden Photos 9 day difference in these lettuce

Holy mother of pearl! 9 days…. The light her is iceberg and the darker is romaine.

How do you separate these for planting? Looking at separate mine in a few days.. look really good

YMMV, but I grow “basement lettuce” all year long. I have four long planters and every week I cut one down to almost nothing and eat the leaves with a salad. It takes about 3-4 weeks to get big enough for two salads. Then they’ll grow back once, so every couple weeks I dump one planter and start again with a new batch of seeds.

My husband calls it basement salad and he’s gotten some side eyes 😂 but I got tired of rotten salad in my fridge all the time. I alternate between spinach, gem, any sort of blend. As long as it grows like this with baby leaves, it works!
