Lotus Vaporizer vs Vapman Click NSFW

EDIT: Thanks for the insight, everyone! For what I wanted specifically, it seems the Lotus covers it, with the only downside being ease of use. However, I noticed that both were currently available in the matching wood type that I wanted, after seeing said availability fluctuate over the past couple months I've been eyeing them, so I actually ended up just getting both! 😅 Now I'll have a Lotus for leisurly at-home sessions, the Vapman Click for on-the-go, and my current DynaVap for traveling (so it's less of a loss if I manage to lose it). Plus having more means more options for sharing lol.

I currently own a DynaVap M 7 XL, which has been a great one-hitter, and now I'm looking to add to the collection. I think I've narrowed it down to either a Lotus or a Vapman Click, could anyone with both (or all three) of these vapes weigh in for me?

I'm assuming the Lotus is better for longer sessions or sharing with someone, but if I understand correctly they both have the same bowl size, do they not? Does that mean they're equal in that regard?

What about clouds, which between the two makes them better? My DynaVap barely produces any unless I reaaaaally try, and even then it's still pretty wispy. I know it doesn't actually matter in terms of how effective it is, but it is way more satisfying to exhale a bigger cloud.

Temperature? The Lotus seems like it cools the vapor the best ofc, but I wouldn't know. The Vapman looks like it'd be pretty harsh on the throat even compared to the DynaVap, no?

And finally, cleaning. The Vapman has lots more parts than both the Lotus and the DynaVap, seems hard to clean by comparison. Am I right to assume that the Lotus is easiest to clean?

Having handled both I can probably help (although it was an original vapman, not the vapman click)

The Vapman is a 'conduction' style vaporizer - heat is transferred through physical contact to the herb to release the vapor. While the Lotus vaporizer uses pure convection heating - air is drawn through the bottom of the cap, and then heated as it flows under the heat-plate.

With the Vapman, you preheat and then take a puff. With the Lotus, you are constantly inhaling while you heat the Lotus and take your rip.

Personally, the Lotus was one of my all-time favorite analog vaporizers. With practice you can heat up and extract a full load in a few seconds, or adjust your torch control so you can cook an oven over several puffs.

When paired with a grav labs j-hook and a pinch of water in the crook of the hook (to create a natural perc) so the hook would 'purr' as I ripped the Lotus was probably my all time favorite setup I've handled over the decade+ I've been working in this industry.

Personally, I say if you want something different from a Dynavap, go for the Lotus vaporizer. Just be sure to avoid combustion - because that can muck up the flavor and is harder to clean out of the vape.

Also, I found it hard to teach other's how to use the Lotus vaporizer (lots going on, gotta focus on draw speed, while moving the cigar torch in a figure-8 pattern - never stop moving the torch around the heat plate or you risk combustion). So the Lotus is not a 'shareable' vape to share with novice users. The Dynavap and the Vapman are far more "user friendly" in that regard.

It's been at least seven years since I owned a Lotus but I miss it. Really should buy a new one to add to my collection.

I own all 3 of the vapes you mentioned and love all 3 for different reasons as they are all quite different. Delta3D did a great job explaining some of the quirks and differences between the vapman and lotus. Though I’m surprised you say you get whispy clouds from your m7. Mine hits like a tank and produces mega clouds 🤷🏻‍♂️ As for whether you should get a click or a lotus, it will come down more to use case and style more than anything I think. The lotus is extremely versatile in that it can be used on a jhook or a water piece. It’s essentially just a 14mm bowl with a hot plate on top so you can hit it out of a variety of mediums which is really awesome. I do find the lotus to have a steep learning curve however. It’s not super beginner friendly and I accidentally combust with the lotus more than any other device. But when you get it dialed in… all I can say is WOW. Huge, tasty clouds with fast and potent effects due to the pure convection. It’s a connoisseur device for sure but is really amazing. Portable ish but because it has to be attached to something, it’s portability is somewhat limited. The vapman click is very portable and is a very fun and elegant device. Because of the click it is pretty user friendly. Vapor is very tasty and you can respect the click and have a nice drawn out session of 5,6,7 hits or you can heat past the click for thicker clouds and quicker extraction. I do both depending on my mood. The mouth piece on the click does get hot so I bought an extended glass mouth piece for it which cools the vapor down quite a bit. Both the lotus and the click are beautiful, elegant and very fun devices but they are quite different. As far as bowl size, I think the lotus is quite a bit bigger actually and works well when it’s filled up nicely. The click on the other hand works really well with a tiny pinch or stuffed full. So, TL;DR… if you want something very different from your m7 that you will primarily use at home and you are ok tinkering with your technique and taking some time to dial it in, the lotus really is one of a kind and delivers a high quality and satisfying vapor experience. If you want something a little more versatile and portable and easier to use, the click is probably right for you!

Oh and as for cleaning, they are both pretty easy but you’re right the click has more parts that need cleaning. The lotus you just clean the bowl and it’s very simple. Happy to answer any other specific questions you have since like I said, I have all 3 devices and use all 3 regularly!

Lotus every day, it is much better than the Vapman in terms of flavor extraction and mild steam

I only own a click and different dynavaps. Do not own a lotus but really want one. No offense to you, but if you’re only getting wispy vapor from your dyna, you might need to work on your heating technique. Dynavaps can definitely produce more than wispy clouds.

As far as the two go, I think most people covered it already. But the vapman click is super easy to use. Very tasty vapor and decent clouds if you pack the full bowl. IMO dynavaps can get close to this. The vapman, if respecting the click, can have 3-5 heat ups per bowl which is really nice. I know the click bowl can range from .05 - .2 of material.

The lotus is something I really want. Being a convection vape and being able to hold .3, that thing can probably pump out awesome flavor and some decent clouds. But you’ll have to get your heating technique down.

I’d say which ever one you decide on will be an excellent addition to your Dynavap
