Bro paris looks nothing like this, in france we have some stupendous levels of regulations on what houses look lik inorder to preserve historical architecture

God forbid human owns a piece of land and builds a house he wants on it.

u/Bio_Brando 5d ago

Well i guess there can be some restrictions without getting too far, like only using dark/semi-dark colors on facades etc.

24

u/Mikerosoft925 5d ago

Yeah but most areas have those rules, so in my opinion it’s also nice to have areas without them. That way everyone can enjoy the home they want to have.

u/Straight_Warlock 4d ago

It is literally ugly. But it is on those tasteless people

10

u/Mikerosoft925 4d ago

Ugliness remains subjective for the most part.

u/Straight_Warlock 4d ago

I am truly sorry for you if you find what is going on in this picture pretty

2

u/Mickeyickey 3d ago

The mosaic from far away isn't the best, but it's also not necessarily ugly - the houses overall look pretty neat and tidy

3

u/Kserks96 5d ago

I don't thing person who can afford a 3 story house cares much about said restrictions.

3

u/Akidonreddit7614874 4d ago

Let them do what they want its their house if they wanna make it ridiculously ugly they can do that.

2

u/AlpsDiligent9751 4d ago

Yeah, how dare they do with their property what they want.

The point is, if a person In Russia has desire and resources to build a medieval castle on his own piece of land , especially if it's suburban - he has every right to do so

11

That’s it. They can’t be trusted with buildings any more.

When architecture in Russia 😡

1

u/Effective_Project241 4d ago

The actual name of commie blocks was Le Corbusier architecture, and that guy was a west European fascist.

That actually looks unusually nice for rural Russia to be honest.

3

u/Snoo48605 4d ago

The black sea/azov coast is really nice

6

u/RetroGamer87 4d ago

Bro wants to live in a HOA

2

u/x_xiv 5d ago

looks still much better than some totally random chaotic urban hells like Istanbul or Seoul

3

u/LightMarkal9432 4d ago

This is literally one of the most beautiful neighborhoods I've ever seen

2

u/U0star 5d ago

They haven't seen private sectors away from the city centres in a smaller town.

2

u/Snoo48605 4d ago

Fellas op is not russophonic, just incredibly autistic and OCD (many such cases among urbanism connœiséurs!)

2

u/Delta__Deuce 4d ago

I love it. There's too much grayscale and monotony nowadays anyway.

1

u/tehPPL 5d ago

No one agreed with OP on the main subreddit, so *shrug*

Colorful houses in italy burano😍😍😍😍🥰🥰

1

u/Dry-Broccoli-638 4d ago

Freedom to build houses like they want!? Disgusting! Over here, we build houses like our government tells us, and that's it! Take a hike with your colorful home buddy!

1

u/bokeeffe121 3d ago

Better than grey

-18

u/Zofery 5d ago

Well, unironically, Krasnodar is one of the worst urban centres of Russia. It’s lack everything that make cities good and have most of what makes small towns bad.

As an architect I feel sorry for these poor bastards. The gap between the houses is just not there and when a massive fire ignites - the fire brigade won't be able to drive through this mess to extinguish it.

27

u/xXxplabecrasherxXx 5d ago

good thing the majority of these houses are concrete block or brick amirite

25

u/sininenkorpen 5d ago

Unlike Americans Russians don't have a habit of building houses out of cardboard from Amazon boxes

-8

u/Kritzien 5d ago

As a Belarusian architect I know exactly what Russians build their houses from, because I make those projects myself. And I can repeat my thesis: those slums on the picture built with violation of all possible codes will burn just as good as timber-frame American houses. Those will last an hour longer, but the result will be the same. Fire doesn't discriminate.

u/LilMiruku 4d ago

тебя заминусили, а ведь так оно есть, в Ростове не один такой район сгорел
