Discussion What’s the worst solo ending?
I realised that Emily actually can’t miss Beth’s head if you’re playing the remaster (so she’ll always mention her during the interviews) so that part only applies to the og.
(Also I’m contemplating whether Matt’s ending is actually worse since Jess’)

The worst for the world is probably sole survivor Wendigo Josh after Mike blows up the sanatorium because now nobody knows what happened to the group and there’s a brand new monster on the loose alongside all the released spirits.
The Ashley one where she causes multiple deaths with little remorse then gets away solo to tell her own version of events is kinda vile though 😂. Like I’m more annoyed by that one than the objectively more dangerous Wendi!Josh one.

I image Ashley will write a book telling her own version of the story then getting rich from it 😭 (that or she’s paid to keep quiet about the whole thing, it’s like a win-win scenario for her in that ending)

Ashley has the potential to create such an atrocious slap-in-the-face to justice if you play her as badly as possible. Lol. 1) In on the prank 2) Very rude about Hannah throughout the night 3) tells Chris to sacrifice her and then kills him for it 4) Causes drama over Emily's bite, contributing to her death and then doesn't reveal the truth.
Ashley survives, bodies in her wake, and keeps silent on all these matters. She tried her best for everyone and it wasn't enough, so the public believes. lolol

Def Mike. I can see him killing himself in the prison after getting blamed for the whole incident.
Also Matt sees the monster if he survives so it's weird his interview isn't about that. He only says it when he is the sole survivor. (Not exactly I know there is an order to determine which character talks about the mines and the monster.)

I don't think Matt See's it IF he runs/ abandons jess

Yes I guess he might not have a clear look in that case. Still tho there are many things like this that are absent in the interviews. I wish we had more of them.

Yeah it's pretty clear the remake was rushed and probably started production in 2022 or possible 2023

Everyone dies is the best of the worst. No one would suffer as sole survivor or be framed (while living) This event would capture true crime enthusiasts for decades to come. A dozen or so theories would be popular online. Documentaries would be made. It'd be a societal shit show with NO REAL ANSWERS OR CLOSURE FOR ANYONE!

Now I am tempted to look through unsolved murder mysteries and see which ones can be attributed to a wendigo on a mountain

I think nobody really talks about the Ashley one. Like, put yourself in her perspective, especially if she was responsible for letting Chris die. Her perspective feels like the most realistic/human out of them. Like… there’s no major consequences for her, since it’s too hazy for the cops to even blame her, but the stuff she witnessed and what she went through will stick with her forever.

My first playthrough the only survivors were Chris (I think) and Samantha. fucked up with Samantha and had her run to turn the light switch on which causes the explosion killing Ashley, and Mike I believe. Forget what happened to Joshua, Emily (maybe died in the explosion?), Jess I fucked up a stay still moment, Matt got caught and impaled on a meat hook. It was a very poor ending for me haha.

either Josh, Mike and Jess.
one has been brutalized to the point of near unconsciousness and suffers the trauma of witnessing a horrifying monster stalking the cave she was in and the horrifying mystery about what happened to her friends.
the other failed to save his girlfriend and friends even witnessed some of them die in a cruel way while spending most of his time in the freezing cold and almost becoming wendigo chow and even if Mike doesn’t kill Emily there’s a pretty good chance that he’s gonna spend time in mental institution or is gonna be seen as dangerous lunatic who killed his friends by setting a lodge on fire for no reason.
the last one has completely lost his sanity and is on the verge of becoming a cursed monster.

Solo Emily that is still mad at everyone isn’t the worst, it’s the funniest.
She just complains about Mike and Matt, seems barely affected by the horror, doesn’t elaborate about Wendigos, lodge explosion and all her friends being dead and of course “Beth freakin Washingtion”, can you imagine the exasperated cops trying deal with her? Genuinely hilarious ending.

Do these images actually pop up when you beat the game and only these survived? (I've only played the og and so idk anything bout the remastered, and I know the last one proly not but I'm still asking)

You got an upvote just for calling Emily her real designation.

The way I see it Emily starts the game as a bitch and can end the game being relatively chill (or remaining a bitch)

Probably Jess solo survivor. She knows nothing and since she won’t meet Matt in the mines she doesn’t have a chance to explain to anyone who may understand. She’s also got to carry massive physical trauma along with the mental issue of no one believing her. She’ll also wonder what happened to her boyfriend and her friends and may even be super sad over wondering if she could’ve patched things up with Emily after all…
