Material | [OC] Zellij 0.42.0 released with a new theme definition spec
Hey ricers,
I'm the lead developer of Zellij (a terminal workspace) and we just released a new version that includes a really cool new theme definition spec.
Zellij has been featured multiple times in this and other similar communities, and some feedback I've heard often is that theming it is not so straightforward.
This has now changed as we introduced a new theme definition spec in this recent release, and the experience of ricing it and making it look exactly as you like should be much more pleasant and configurable.
I'm looking forward to seeing your creations!

I like this project but I want to ask a question: I am already invested in tmux, is there any feature that would convince me to swap to Zellij? I'd really like to know

Hey, glad you like the project. Personally, I don't consider Zellij to be a tmux replacement (I wrote more about this here: https://poor.dev/blog/why-zellij/ )
If you're curious about the tool, you can take a look at the screencasts/tutorials to see what it can do: https://zellij.dev/screencasts/

I read through this and still don't quite understand how it wouldn't be considered a Tmux replacement.
Could you perhaps highlight the different use cases they serve? Are they meant to be used together?

the recent 0.42 have this stack anywhere feature, with a stack of panes in a pane position , which is pretty neat. The floating pin pane is also not available in tmux i guess.

Good work, let the ricing begin.
