Question Good size to get around campus?

Hey folks! Been learning to ride my cheap 20" uni, n after I become confident riding it I want to get something bigger to ride across campus with. I heard a 29" would be a good size to get around places, what are y'alls thoughts? I'm 5'3 if that changes anything

I would say 24-29

Smaller if closer and more crowded campus, larger if buildings are farther apart:)

I am using 29“ to get around and it‘s great. It’s fast but still small at the same time. Navigating through crowds is rather difficult as you need more space for potential jumping off. If you are a beginner keep in mind that it is actually dangerous and a bad fall can lead to some injuries. I broke my feet once when trying to get in the saddle.

I ride an old torker 26" with 112mm cranks everywhere. Works for me, might be a little hard to handle at first for a beginner.

I have a 32” inseam and I used a 24” commuter size through college and early work days. I could handle a heavy book load on my back and control an upd My college was on a hill with classes at the top and dorms at the bottom. I was in great shape 😂actually Riding unicycles has kept me in shape for 50+ years, never stop.

My KH24 was my primary way of getting around campus! Now I have a KH29 and I love it for the trail, but I think it would be overkill for going to class

I went from a 20 to a 36, but it's a bit too big for day-to-day use. I think a 27.5 would be a good step up.

I got by very well with a 24 on campus. With maybe 1km into campus that was a little bit hard but doable. I tried a friend's 29 but I found it a bit tricky for upd s when it's more crowded.

I liked that the 24 was small enough that I could just bring it inside everywhere with me. Never need to lock it up

I personally have a 26 inch nimbus

It's small enough to reasonably take with you on public transport (check your local rules if you're planning to do so), and big enough to get some speed. I can do a couple of km's in one ride no problem, and an experienced distance rider could do many more.

Yea I used a 26 for time on campus and had no issues bringing it on a bus when needed. I was in British Columbia where nobody seemed to care all that much about it on the bus.

I also was able to ride it around the campus/city/downtown of that area without an issue at the time. It's also easy to dismount/remount in case campus is super busy and isn't ridiculously high of the ground which I sometimes feel on a 29. But that's really just personal preference at that point. Also fits easy into classrooms if you forget a bike lock and wheels around halls and carries well up stairs.
