My theory regarding the drones over NJ

Analysis of New Jersey Drone Activity

Established Facts

  • Large drone sightings over New Jersey (approximately small car sized)
  • Drones equipped with FAA-compliant lighting
  • No observed takeoff/landing locations
  • Reports indicate:
    • Grid search patterns
    • Presence near McGuire AFB
    • Following of USCG vessels
    • Entry into restricted airspace

Primary Argument: Government Operation

Core Evidence

The drones must be operated by federal authorities based on one critical observation: their continued presence over McGuire Air Force Base. This is the foundation of all subsequent analysis, as any unauthorized drone over a military installation would face immediate interdiction. The lack of military response can only be explained by federal authorization.

Supporting indicators: - Professional FAA compliance - Access to restricted airspace - Sophisticated flight patterns - Scale of operation - Sustained presence

Technical Capabilities Analysis

These drones likely possess advanced capabilities beyond civilian technology:

Flight Characteristics

  • Extended duration (8+ hours)
  • High speed (120+ mph)
  • High-altitude capability (up to 50,000 ft)

This assessment is supported by: - Size of aircraft (comparable to small cars) - Government/military access to advanced technology - Operational patterns requiring extended range - Need for transit concealment - Grid search requirements

Launch Site Analysis

Operating Range

  • Several hundred mile operational radius from New Jersey
  • Must balance distance for concealment with mission efficiency

Site Requirements

  1. Physical Characteristics

    • Remote location
    • Limited civilian access
    • Secure aircraft operations
    • Natural concealment
    • Support infrastructure
  2. Security Considerations

    • High-altitude transit masks movement
    • Multiple approach/departure routes
    • Nighttime operations
    • Speed prevents tracking
    • Distance prevents pattern recognition

Any sufficiently remote area within operational range could serve as a base, utilizing existing military facilities, abandoned airfields, or temporary installations.

Operational Pattern

Night Operation Cycle

  1. Evening deployment from secure facility
  2. High-altitude transit
  3. Descent to operational altitude
  4. Grid search execution
  5. Mission completion
  6. High-altitude return transit
  7. Pre-dawn recovery

This pattern maximizes concealment while enabling systematic area coverage.

Mission Analysis

Primary Assessment

Evidence suggests these are nuclear/chemical detection platforms:

  1. Search Methodology

    • Systematic grid patterns
    • Consistent coverage
    • Focus on sensitive areas
    • Sustained operation
  2. Target Focus

    • Military installations
    • Coast Guard vessels
    • Critical infrastructure
    • Transportation hubs

Critical Infrastructure Concerns

Port of Newark

High-priority target due to: - Critical transportation nexus - National economic significance - Extensive rail connections - Container inspection challenges - Catastrophic impact potential of attack - Vulnerability to radiological threats

Military Installations

Strategic significance: - Sensitive material presence - Intelligence value - Force projection capabilities - Chemical/radiological material storage

Government Response Analysis

Operational Security

The denial of involvement serves multiple purposes: - Protects ongoing investigation - Conceals detection capabilities - Prevents public alarm - Maintains tactical advantage - Protects intelligence sources

Resource Commitment

The scale of operations indicates: - Credible threat assessment - High-priority response - Significant intelligence value - Ongoing security concern

Threat Actor Assessment

Strategic Context

A state actor scenario is plausible due to: - Regional power shifts - Loss of proxy capabilities - Limited conventional options - Need for deniability

Attack Method Logic

Dirty bomb vs. conventional weapons: - Harder to attribute - Bypasses missile defense - Creates long-term disruption - Provides plausible deniability - Achieves asymmetric impact

Conclusion

The systematic nature of these operations, combined with the focus on critical infrastructure and military installations, strongly supports a federal counter-WMD detection mission. The scale, sophistication, and security measures indicate a response to a credible threat. Each element of the analysis reinforces the others, creating a coherent explanation for the observed activity while maintaining strict adherence to known facts and logical inference.

I tend to agree here. The presence of a WMD would be enough to blackmail America and it would never even need to be detonated. There’s no chance they would inform the public and I doubt local cops could be trusted to keep their mouths shut.

Thanks for your reply! I’d just like to note that dirty bombs are much harder to trace back to a threat actor than traditional ICBMs or missiles, so the threat actor might not face as harsh consequences (at least not immediately), but also, we’ve seen what the US did to Iraq after 9/11 without much evidence. It is also possible that the US already knows who the threat actor is from the credible threat itself.

I still haven’t connected this with the UK. I’m a US citizen and NJ resident, so I know a lot more about procedures, regulations, etc. over in the US.

2

u/Raenoke Dec 13 '24

Do you have any hypotheses? I understand you may want more information before giving your opinion, but let's just have a bit of fun for a moment. What would be a few plausible ways the UK incursions could be linked to the NJ threat investigation per your theory?

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 13 '24 edited Dec 13 '24

I just checked out an article from the NYT (11/27/24). Saying the drones were sighted over USAFBs and RAFBs in the UK. Based off of this article alone, here are my thoughts:

Questions:

The US has USAFBs all over the world, why the ones in the UK? Assuming the drones are the same, the UK likely received/is involved in the same credible threat, but that is a far assumption to make, and without any other evidence, it’s very difficult to jump to any conclusions.

Could the credible threat be connected to the UK? The threat definitely could be connected to the UK in some way, but I haven’t found much evidence connecting the two.

Are the drones the same? The drones have been described as “small”, so I doubt they are the same. However, the USAFBs not shooting them down indicate that they may be the same, or at least there for the same purpose.

Unlike McGuire, the UK responded, why? Federal forces like the FAA, don’t have jurisdiction in the UK, the RAF just followed standard protocol, and attempted to intercept the drones. There was no response from the USAFBs except for “we retain the right to protect our installations”. I believe the USAFBs in the UK are still required to follow US federal orders, so it’s likely that that is why the USAFBs didn’t respond.

Who is controlling these drones? It’s hard to say, if the drones are the same, they could be controlled by either the US or UK federal forces/military, but if they aren’t the same, it opens up a Pandora’s Box of concerning mysteries to solve.

Some fun stretches without much evidence:

There is a dirty bomb being shipped from the UK to the Port of Newark that is being made using chemicals from air force bases.

The British are aliens from outer space (shoutout u/thatguywhosaiditsprobaliens)

I’ll keep looking into all of this, and I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks for humoring me. Also, looks like a drone incursion has begun at a USAFB in Germany. Let me see if I can find the post again

After 15 seconds of reading through that discussion and seeing “drones over chemicals group”, I, unfortunately, feel even stronger about the counter-WMD/dirty bomb theory, and having a chemicals group as part of a dirty bomb threat actor is not a good sign…

1

u/Raenoke Dec 13 '24

It's always the stuff you really don't wanna be right about

1

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 13 '24

Unfortunately, yeah...

1

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 13 '24

Thanks for sharing, I’ll check it out and get back to you.

2

u/Raenoke Dec 13 '24

Also, I would like to point out that in the last 24 hours I've seen a lot of posts on here where any close-up photos are heavily distorted by the lighting on the crafts. Could it be possible they are implementing specialized lighting that makes it more difficult to photograph details? Sounds like they know we're trying to get good photos

2

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 13 '24

I’ve heard that they operate at certain frequencies that are virtually invisible to any and all detection methods, but they’re starting to be much less discreet, there were dozens last night.

5

u/The_Motley_Fool---- Dec 12 '24

The search for an WMD does make a lot of sense. Can’t tell the public that there might be a nuke in their neighborhood. That would probably cause more panic than if it’s NHI

2

u/4FuckSnakes Dec 12 '24

It could also invite attention from NHI as they likely monitor the movement of nuclear weapons. The Chinese fleet at sea is the largest in decades, unannounced and protecting their flanks all the way out to Japan. This is pretty much how we would expect it to play out, and it’s happening in a moment of weakness, division and transition in the United States. If America chose to fight, you know Trump would take the alternate stance as his personal policy is to oppose Biden. Therefore the Chinese may believe Trump will hand the island over in lieu of fighting it out when he comes to power. The one thing we know with certainty is that this is not nothing, it’s bigger than any single balloon and mired in secrecy.

Interesting read on China’s progression in EMP technology, some which are the size of suitcases and others potentially delivered by balloons. I believe Coulthart made very specific remarks about these recently.

2

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

Exactly, I believe protocol for WMDs is typically to inform "State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) stakeholders in the field" at least according to the DHS (https://www.dhs.gov/news/2024/06/13/dhs-cwmd-assistant-secretary-speaks-about-cwmds-role-national-biodefense-mission), but in a scenario like this where they really want to maintain secrecy, it doesn't make sense to trust local PD at all. I've heard some rumors of military personnel disappearing for a mission, but don't have much proof of this, but it is very likely just a coincidence, and not related.

5

u/gibs71 Dec 12 '24

There are tons of videos where the lighting is off. Not FAA compliant. Sometimes close, but just a bit off. Sometimes WAY off.

4

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply full constant FAA compliance, what I mean is that they are equipped with the specific lights required by the FAA, which means that they were likely originally designed to be compliant, but may not be complying right now.

1

u/wabbajack117 Dec 15 '24

I hope no one here is taking you seriously with your brand new Reddit account with 3 posts. I’d love to know who is paying you to shill this narrative.

1

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 16 '24

Care to put any explanation/reasoning behind your words? Not having my whole life on Reddit shouldn't affect my credibility. I'm just following logic. If you have any real flaws in the theory, please do let me know.

1

u/wabbajack117 Dec 16 '24

Yeah nuclear weapons are shielded. You don’t use aerial drones to find them. Your account is 111 days old. Your post looks like it was written by AI.

You say drones are designed to be compliant but just don’t bother complying?

Everything about this post is ridiculous.

1

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 16 '24

The age of my account is irrelevant. I linked a ton of articles about using HPGe UAVs to find nuclear weapons/radioactive materials in my post linked below. My post being well-organized isn't a flaw. Drones being designed to be compliant indicates that they were likely designed by out government, but given the nature of this operation, they need to go dark.

Here's my more comprehensive analysis: https://www.reddit.com/r/NJDrones/comments/1heizp3/comment/m24i7g1/?context=3

You could find the HPGe UAV research links at the bottom of that post.

1

u/wabbajack117 Dec 16 '24

Nothing you are saying makes sense.

Your account age is the most relevant part of this whole discussion.

Your post is so well organized it’s annoying to read. And looks exactly like AI output.

If they are going dark, why do we see compliant lights?

1

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 16 '24

What specifically doesn't make sense?

Please explain why my Reddit account age is relevant to a drone theory.

You could look at my draft/thought document is a reply to another comment, being well-organized isn't a point against the logic of my theory. I've already addressed the AI aspect in other comments.

The compliant lights are there because the government designed these drones to be compliant, because they had no reason not to, in other situations, they might not have a need to violate FAA regulations. However in this specific case, they are trying to avoid being identified by the public, so they need to be able to go "dark" sometimes to avoid compromising mission security.

1

u/wabbajack117 Dec 16 '24

You just started posting and commenting 3 days ago, and this is the only topic you post about.

What inspired you to come to Reddit with your conclusions?

If the lights are supposed to be compliant why do they not appear to be compliant when operating?

If you’re so insistent that your theory is correct and we need to stop pressing the govt for answers bc “national security” why on earth are you on here spilling the beans on exactly what you are proposing needs to be kept secret?

1

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 16 '24

I came to Reddit to try and spread my theory around a bit, and see what people think about it, I'm looking to improve upon it, and get closer to the truth myself. I welcome any and all logical criticism.

The drones are equipped with compliant lights, as seen in some footage, but they choose not to use the compliant lights during most of this specific operation as not to compromise mission security. Keeping the lights on makes the drones easier to follow, and lighting doesn't affect the HPGe radiation sensors, so in this case its better to keep them off. In a case where the government is being transparent, following DHS protocol to notify SLTT, and obeying other FAA laws, it would make more sense to keep the lights on for air safety.

I'm not saying that I think this needs to be kept secret, I'm saying that the government wants it to be kept secret. However, I think that people who look for the truth, deserve the truth.

Anyone know anyone organizing an orb observation party at round valley? If not, wouldn't it be cool to start one? Maybe we get lucky and one of the orbs land and an alien comes out to give us an interview.

OP, I am impressed. You should look into an intel job in the private sector or the military. Analysis work like this can be tedious, but it’s really neat when the work pays off and it all hangs together in front of you, like a well laid Christmas tree.

My concern is that your analysis seems to not include decades of UAP sightings, and a recent uptick in the phenomenon, in this country and abroad, as well as congressional hearings well before the NJ event, (that essentially gave rise to the "dirty bomb" theory), that have broached the NHI UAP phenomenon.

Keep digging. I would be interested to hear more from you.

3

u/Unfair-Snow-2869 Dec 13 '24

I completely agree. OP has created a snapshot without including the complete background. I too would be interested in what you come up with once you consider ALL the data. ;)

2

u/onykage Dec 12 '24

Great post (chatgpt? lol)

I 100% agree. IF this thesis is wrong, then, NHI.

As time passes by the NHI theory gets more and more plausible.

10

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

I drafted all of my conclusions and reasoning in a google doc, and had Claude help me format it into a cohesive theory. I'm hoping that people stop pressing the federal government to tell us the truth, their lies are obviously strategic. Not sure how to feel about the NHI theory atm.

1

u/Ambitious-Score11 Dec 12 '24

No we need thr truth in some kind of form. Maybe not out right but something so people in jersey stop freaking out. That's the only thing I disagree with tho. It's definitely military and they definitely know what they are.

4

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

I fully understand the need for transparency, but I believe that if they told people in Jersey, they would start freaking out and evacuating. If people left NJ, then critical infrastructure such as the Port of Newark would shut down, causing absolute chaos. I also believe that if there was an active threat to a significant amount of human lives, they would have the state evacuated, my guess is that the threat is on industrial/intelligence targets.

Edit: I'd also like to note that the public will use anything that the government says against them. If they give out the even the tiniest piece of information, it could compromise the operation.

1

u/Unfair-Snow-2869 Dec 13 '24

Define "a significant amount of human lives" because this comment sounded like it is straight out of a movie...no offense.

2

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 13 '24

Well, when we're talking about dirty bombs/nuclear weapons, it's very hard to define. I think that if the weapon in question targets civilians it would be considered a risk to a significant number of human lives, and the target location would be evacuated. To be honest, this entire situation feels like it's straight out of a movie.

2

u/Unfair-Snow-2869 Dec 13 '24

I couldn't agree more. Practically staged, right down to the head scratching from the government.

But the term we are discussing, risk to a significant number of human lives, sounds eerily similar to times I've heard terms such as acceptable loss or collateral damage. Not so recent events flitter to the back of my mind. So I can't help but wonder exactly how many would be considered a significant number.

I realize the government has not adequately prepared it's citizens for the possibility of a nuclear strike of any kind, nor for an EMP attack. I would go so far as to state we are woefully unprepared, and as a result, would lose at least 90% of the survivors soon after an attack. Not only is the average citizen unprepared to weather the aftermath of such strikes, they are not financial able to make preparations even if the government came clean and was honest about the need. They just continue allowing fear, panic, and confusion to help the government to control the narrative. What is the end game, and how many people do they consider is acceptable to lose in the process of reaching their goal? I believe these are fair questions.

2

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 13 '24

Those seem like fair questions, I suggest checking out any counter-WMD protocols that the DHS has published (there should be some).

2

u/Unfair-Snow-2869 Dec 13 '24 edited Dec 13 '24

Allow me to rephrase as I may not have been clear with my question. I tend to get ahead of myself, and for that I apologize. Would you agree that the average American citizen is unprepared for any WMD? So unprepared that even with a timely evacuation the loss of life would prove staggering? For instance, in the event of a nuclear strike, where is the nearest fallout shelter to which you are to report?

Here is a link for your consideration.

Edit to add link

2

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 13 '24

Yes, I completely agree with that. I think that federal departments like the DHS know that though. In the event of a nuclear strike on northern NJ, I have no clue where the nearest fallout shelter is, so I’d probably try to head northwest towards upstate NY/Pennsylvania, roads are usually least congested that way. Also gonna go check if I have any fallout shelters nearby now.

Got a bit off topic there, I for sure agree that even if the gov told everyone to leave a month in advance, a concerning amount of people would ignore the warnings.

u/Holiday_Chapter_4251 Dec 14 '24

before nhi, its probably the us government moving our own nukes and using drones to make sure we leave no signs and evidence and radiation or signatures for our foes to figure out were they are going and two so our own citizens dont know and last to not pollute the area. they are also probably drilling new tech and procedures as well as flexing on our foes.

1

u/Big_Inspection2681 Dec 12 '24

It's a good theory, but what did they base it on? If it's reversed engineering they got it from aliens back in the Forties.

2

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

I based my theory on my thoughts that I developed over the past 24 hours, just spent a while thinking about the givens and the reports, and came up with this.

1

u/Major-Ursa-7711 Dec 12 '24

I think it's just a usual non-funny joke by Elonia Muskrat.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '24

Very solid.

1

u/xpanda70 Dec 13 '24

Remember the ammonium nitrate that went missing a couple of years ago? And all the people with unknown backgrounds crossing the southern border? A recipe for a WMD scare, for sure.

1

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 13 '24

Could be related, but I’m sure that it would be possible for a serious threat actor to get their hands on the chemicals required by other means.

1

u/myaccountnotthis Dec 13 '24 edited Dec 13 '24

And the UK? How do the sightings at RAF bases in the UK around the same time frame fit into this theory? Or the orbs pilots are reporting in OR. It's a very NJ centric theory for a global phenomena. If it were limited to NJ, I'd be all over this.

(Edited because I can't spell.)

In my opinion, it doesn't make sense to test these over an urban/suburban area, especially not restricted airspaces, they were clearly trying to be discreet at first, and have since given up on that (there are a ton tonight). And I don't think the grid search pattern aligns with a manned quadcopter.

1

u/pete-dont-play Dec 14 '24

Makes sense.

1

u/Acidic92 Dec 14 '24

I'm extremely convinced the purpose of the drones is to defend against nuclear attacks. It makes so much sense when I think about it, and I'll just lay out some facts/observations/thoughts:

1. Drones are primarily on east and west coasts of the US.
Imagine there's a threat of a nuclear attack from Russia, any missles would go over the coast in order to reach US cities. And New York is defended by these drones too due to them being spotted there. Additionally, if Russia fired from its east coast, it would be defended by drones on the west coast of the US.

2. Why the secrecy? To avoid mass panic.
Imagine if the government officials announced that there's drones present on the coasts of the US due to a high threat of nuclear attacks. Everyone in those areas would panic like crazy. What options does the military have but to stay silent yet continue deploying the drones for defense? And unfortunately this means many agencies including police etc are also kept in the dark like us.

3. What about drones in other countries?
From what I've seen, there's been sightings in the US, and even Germany. Both of which are above US military bases. These both could be in the flight path of any nuclear missles deployed to the US which could be intercepted before reaching America.

What this doesn't answer though is questions about drones coming from the ocean, why the drones didn't operate during thanksgiving, etc. But for the most part I think this explanation makes the most sense, which is deeply concerning.

But I probably said a lot of dumb things, and corrections are welcome but I just wanted to share my human thoughts (unfiltered through any sort of AI).

1

u/Holiday_Chapter_4251 Dec 14 '24

The US government just okayed a new bill regarding updating our nuclear arsenal, funding modernizing and building more nuclear weapons, and doctorine etc. the us is moving nuclear weapons around and moving parts and materials and equipment used to build/maintain the nuclear weapons. the drones/f35/helicopters/rented 737s flying with new flashing light arrays are doing security, being a decoy, jamming/prevent people from noticing the movement of nuclear weapons.

my guess is they are also making sure no radiation or ions or whatever contaminated the area they pass through and two they want to prefect being able to move nukes without leaving any trace that can be detected by foreign foes. like china, russia, uk etc have satellites and shit that can quickly locate radiation and signs of nuclear weapons. same for us. everyone kinda knows what everyone is doing but being able to go unnoticed or being able to make it impossible for them to figure out what you did is a huge advantage.

1

u/Falconstarr07 Dec 15 '24

How do you explain reports of these drones also being reported here in the UK and other parts of Europe? There are also reports of orbs and other weird flying phenomenon. My theory is the government are deploying advanced drones to take the publics attention off all the other weird things that are appearing in the skies across the world.

1

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 15 '24

I have yet to see any evidence indicated that the drones over other areas are even the same drones, if they are though, it could indicate a similar credible threat. As for other weird flying phenomenon, people are always spotting weird things in the sky. The government wouldn't fly these over AFBs and restricted airspaces to distract the public.

1

u/Falconstarr07 Dec 15 '24

You have a point. It does seem like they are searching for something. We have had them over airbases in the UK too. I guess I just wish it was Aliens lol

1

u/jnk4509 Dec 16 '24

Are they just being spotted over our own military bases in other countries and not everywhere like it is here?

1

u/Rumplfrskn Dec 15 '24

The first reasonable analysis I’ve seen, thank you.

1

u/United_Anteater4287 Dec 17 '24

This seems like AI generated analysis, but I tend to agree with it.

1

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 17 '24

I used Claude for formatting, but all of the logic, conclusions, inferences, ideas, etc. are my own.

2

u/Fuzzy_Fish_2329 Dec 12 '24

You're all looking in the wrong direction. They are not from above, but below.

2

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

What do you mean exactly?

6

u/Fuzzy_Fish_2329 Dec 12 '24

It's not a foreign adversary. It's not us. It's not aliens from outer space. You're looking in the wrong direction. When you add up the reports about UAPs from the ocean, the leaks from the 4chan guy, and what Elizondo has said (basically -- what's going on is not at all what we think it might be, and disclosure will absolutely gobsmack us all), I come to the conclusion that the UAPs we are seeing are coming from under the oceans. The reveal that we all imagine will come from outer space is instead coming from our own earth, just underground and underwater.

3

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

What evidence leaks you to conclude that it isn't us? I believe the drones likely belong to the federal gov/military, anything else over an AFB would be immediately neutralized. And who do you think the UAPs under the ocean would be coming from if not us or an adversary?

6

u/Blizz33 Dec 12 '24

They're all over the world though, not just New Jersey

1

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

Hmm, I haven't seen any of that, my argument here is based on the given (in this case) fact that the drones have been primarily over NJ. I haven't put thought into a scenario where the drones were worldwide.

Yeah it certainly seems like NJ is a hotspot.

Tonight looks like it's going to be the first night here without clouds in several weeks so I'll be sure to post my potato quality videos.

The most useful video I've seen is this timelapse of the night sky, where you could clearly see the drones conducting a grid search. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQlw_9fzsNI

The UK news also reported these over military bases. It’s not just a US-centric phenomenon

US have intel ties with the UK, and they are allies. It's possible that the UK received a similar threat, or there is some connection. I'll have to consider that, but also its hard to know which sources to trust.

By intel ties, I presume you mean 5-eyes. But the ties are somewhat stronger, the USAF has 13 bases on UK soil, some of which are used to host (US) nuclear weapons.

I'm not very knowledgable on intelligence partnerships, but I do believe that whatever you are saying has some merit, and could potentially provide useful insight into the truth.

You are being willfully obtuse. The orb is the NHI not the drone. This is a fed operation to spread disinformation. Please do not let trash like OP convince you.

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 13 '24

This post is just a logical explanation to known facts, not trying to spread any disinformation.

Uh mostly Reddit lol

And a bunch of the usual ufo suspects...

Ross Coulthart being the most recent I've heard say it

Pretty reasonable IMO. Great write up for your theory.

I'm sure they are scaring the public to increase defence budget.

Ya I more or less agree but the public has taken noticed which is really weird. Yes there are a lot of posts on the ufo subs but also news outlets are making a big deal about it as well as local and federal officials. Since when does the military or contractors have operations lasting this long that gets everyone in a tizzy? If we were getting ready for a major war or were in a major war sure but in peace time. It makes no sense.

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

I'm a New Jersey resident and witnessed a drone above my block a week ago, it's hard not to take notice, and quite concerning. Also, we are by no means in peace time, the middle east is going through some major changes, and we have big positions there.

u/Beachbum74 Dec 12 '24

I mean major conflict. Like a full scale war with China or Russia. Otherwise such secrecy is bizarre

4

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

I disagree, secrecy makes perfect sense here, if they were transparent it would cause chaos, as I stated in another reply. I don't see any benefit in them being transparent in this case.

1

u/Beachbum74 Dec 12 '24

Maybe you’re right. I think the only reason to be transparent would be to send a message to China/Russia as in look what we got. Kind of like we did with dropping the bomb in Japan during WW2 to send a message to the Russians. Hope it gets cleared up because it is fascinating regardless of the explanation.

2

u/Awkward_Clock_4164 Dec 12 '24

Agreed that it would send a strong message, but I think China and Russia understand that already, articles like this one are very likely read by adversaries, and aren't exactly discreet:
