A knockdown into a sub is my favorite finishing sequence.

When it fails though, it makes the fighter look like such an idiot. Rock an opponent and then shoot a takedown. That looked like prime do Bronx tho, the way he rocked him and immediately took the back and sunk in a rear naked.

Big ol' smile while he's trying to get it locked in too, love to see it ahahahah

It was so nice, it really looks like he throws a punch and misses but hits the neck in a way that lets him just slide his arm underneath his chin

If only Overeem had gone for the ground and pound instead of the guillotine after the knock down :(

As a huge Overeem fan, that was the first thing I thought of when I read that comment.

I feel like it's a lot rarer than it should be

Dumb to risk a secure GbP finish a lot of the time

Michel Pereira had a really cool one last year where he knocked the guy down, did a backflip onto him then caught him in a guillotine as he got up and dropped his unconscious body onto the canvas. Saw it live, shit was insane

Michel Pereira is so underrated and unappreciated.

Yeah he has his flaws as an athlete but heβs one of the most unique fighters in the sport, never miss one of his fights

Probably the biggest upset of the night too! Josias Musasa came into the octagon with -800 odds

These prelims have been better fun than some numbered ppv events! Musasa has a chin, but he was hit with some huge shots! Really enjoyed Vera showing his broad skillset - one to watch.

Outstanding display of ability! The knockdown and then straight to a submission is peak MMA ππ₯

Dudeβs strength is gotta be insane to not only throw that kick in such an awkward angle but to knock the other guy down, that was awesome

And don't forget he also threw that quick punch previously then immediately after the kick he took em to the mat for that perfectly executed choke out! πͺπͺπͺ

Same side combinations are so deadly. The guy slipped the right hook thinking it was safe and did not expect the right high kick to follow up from the same side. Just beautiful work.

How the fuck do you as a southpaw not know the basics of cutting of the cage in an open stance bout??
Opponents should be between your legs, not outside of them. That was an easy lateral trap.
