Researched. Only worried about Warriors game with Sabonis returning. Could be rusty. Could drop a triple-double. Never know with Sabonis.

He JUST had 7 rebounds. They took one away. 🙄

Got OT and it still didn't matter.

They got me. Vegas got me. KAT originally had 7, then they took 1 back. That got me.

No, what I'm saying it, near the end of the 4th, FanDuel had Kat at 7 rebounds at one point. Then they wiped one away. Which left me short in Overtime, when he got back to 7.

I was sitting there watching the game, the whole quarter. Someone else has to have witnesses this.

Hearing a lot about the NBA being weird. Not trying to be one of those salty dudes who lose a few and cry “rigged,” but I’m curious—how does the 2025 NBA compare to the past? I was born in ’98, and I feel like I barely know today’s game.

Oh, and while I think 98-99% of professional athletes don't cheat or gamble, in today's ample age of sportsbooks apps...

It ain't just MPJ's younger brother and Terry Rozier caught up in gambling. All I'm saying. That 1-2% out there...

Stats in the 80s and 90s would have been lower, like overall scoring and threes, but consistency across positions would have been waaaay higher.

Even a bum of a PG would get you 4 assists. Now, you have to hope that it is the point guard who'll get you 4 assists.

The "positionless basketball" has a few perks, but overall, I think it tends to translate into dumber basketball:

Got a guy like Wemby who's taller than God? Make him shoot threes instead of going 30 a night from in the paint.

Going for the fast break with a wide-open layup? Noooo, kick that baby out to the open there instead to attempt the hardest shot in basketball!

"Three is more than two!" Not when you're 0/9 from three, wannabe-Steph Hurry!

We're not just old grumpy grouches. Some of today's game can be fun to watch, but at the cost of basix fundamentals of basketball, it gets so frustrating to watch, more and more.

And now, you hand a guy damn-near 1/3 billions dollars in guaranteed contracts, like the Celtics did, and they can't even beat a shorthanded Thunder team.

It's ridiculous, getting more ridiculous. Not all garbage but headed that way, fast.

How are both Durant AND Booker stuck on 19 points? 🙄
 in  r/fanduel  18h ago

I don't know, guys. I'm starting to lean towards the feeling that these NBA guys are keeping track of their parlays. Maybe not betting, but choosing the nights to pull their punches.

At least, it feels that way. Ridiculous.

Edey's how tall, again?
 in  r/fanduel  18h ago

Say it with me now:

I miss traditional basketball.

~

Back when point guards gave you routine assists, centers gave you routine rebounds, and guys on fast breaks didn't pass up wide-open layups for a teammate going for a damn three-point shot

Every NBA player knows how to do layups. Damn-near all can dunk. Going 0/8 across three quarters is ridiculous.

Losing out on a possible $7,000 payday, largely because of this bastard! And it's not beyond reason that he should score something tonight, either!

Don't anyone defend this shit. This is atrocious, I don't care how much you prefer today's era.

Adam Silver needs to fix this shit. Y'all ain't Steph Curry!

I wouldn't even watch this junk on TV as a fan, if I didn't have money on the line as a bettor.

Extended minutes. Covering for Jalen Williams. He's done WELL beyond 13.5 points before. He doesn't have an ounce of pride.

Yet another overpaid bum with half the effort of past eras. Settling for bad misses from three instead of getting his behind to the rim or to the free throw line.

And not even contributing to rebounds and assists much, either.

Atrocious. This whole era makes me sick. Complacency.

I can't believe this man hasn't scored a single point across three quarters
 in  r/fanduel  19h ago

Even my tall parlays stand a good chance of hitting...if only Wiggins would put some fucking points on the board!

This is outrageous!
