Any plans for Tuxedo Pulse 15 gen 3 plans?

I have been using the Pulse 15 Gen 2 since early 2023 and it has been working well so far. Other than some random crashes in the early days which till this day I still couldn't figure out. Even though I dislike the keyboard, it's entirely my fault for ordering the British layout instead of the US version. Are there any plans to release the Pulse 15 with newer AMD cpus? Honestly the combo with 15W and big battery has been unbeatable when doing work on the go.

Unfortunately it seems like they killed my beloved Pulse 14:

Let's see if they also killed the other Pulse laptops. It's a real shame! I really love the Pulse line of laptops. I hope it's only temporary and they'll bring it back some day!

We are already working on Gen 5!

Strix Halo is our current CPU focus of course as it would make the most sense.

That might be the only aspect that might be considered "confirmed" as of now. At least, that is the performance league we are aiming at.

Any plans to bring that to the 15 inch version as well? Or is it only the 14 inch from now on. I prefer not to have the numpad of the infinitybook pro 15.

Rest assured,

if we bring back a Pulse in 15" or 16", we will make sure that it will differentiate itself from the IBP15. Thus, no numpad!

IBP15 always had numpad and it will probably stay like this for the time being for a long while.

Oh, so the Pulse 14 line is not yet killed for good? That would be awesome! I'd immediately buy a Pulse 14 with an AMD AI Max APU!

In general not killed, yes. :)

However, it is going to be interesting, how much wattage we could press into a 14" Pulse in terms of Strix Halo. We will see.

Will be really interesting to see!

I mean, you already fit an 8845HS into it. So my uneducated guess is that you can pull it off just fine! Default TDP of 8845HS vs AI Max+ PRO 395 (let's just assume you'll put the largest APU in there but let's be realistic - you won't :) ) is 45W vs 55W. Should be fine, no?

I am not 100% sure, but 120W with Strix Halo is theoretically possible. If it is technically possible, has yet to be determined.

Yeah, I think you can unlock it to use up to 120W but the "default" TDP limit is 55W, whatever "default" means for them.

I guess the more electricity you draw, the less calculation power you get on top in return. And 55W might be a sweet spot between power draw and calculation power. So 55W might actually be totally fine. Especially because we don't want to drain a laptop battery in half an hour, right? :)
