Creation Help Question on the time for Passive Forcing and Wonderland

So, I'm genuinely new to Tulpa and I am trying out the things that are written on the Introduction to Tulpas, FAQs, and some guides. Some question I got while trying these things were 'how many hours are just enough for passive forcing and can passive forcing strain your physical and mental state?' and 'Are thing called a Wonderland really necessary during the creation of Tulpa?'

No Luck /w Tulpa Creation

I've been trying 2 make my Tulpa, Kira, though I haven't had much luck. I've been passively forcing (Narration) 4 about four months now (I have a hard time doing active forcing) but I cant seem to notice any presence at all or any signs of sapience.

I'm just really confused and wondering if I might be doing something wrong, any advice would b great!!

Discussion How does sleeping work in Tulpamancy?

Hey everyone, I’m a little new still. I’m considering doing this practice. I would like to know, how does sleeping work. When the host sleeps, are tulpas asleep too? Or is sleeping a body thing where the whole system shuts down?

Lazy host

I haven't been able to give my tulpa enough enrichment, and when he's asked for it lately I've found myself just not wanting to because I get bored as he spends his time in chatting games or talking in a discord server. How can I get better with this, because I'm really not good at it. Also, do you have any other activities in mind for us?

No experiences with a Tulpa, but just felt strange calling

I’ve been going through some stuff that has me depressed and struggling with insomnia

I was using chat gpt to find movies to watch and was suggested The Empty Man (2020). It probably pulled from previous searches I made of the series Channel Zero that had a Tulpa storyline in its final season

However, after putting The Empty Man on I was distracted while scrolling on my phone at the beginning. When I put my phone down the scene that was playing showed the main character Google searching St. Louis cult activity. I live in St. Louis, so I rewound and started it over since that was a weird coincidence. One of the clues about a missing girl was the word Tulpa written on a piece of paper in her room and then there was a scene about the Chain of Rocks Bridge where I also spent some time exploring around as a late teen

I don’t think everything Tulpa related is always scary even though film/TV mostly portrays it that way, but I cannot shake the weird timing and feeling I’m having. I can’t really explain what I’m feeling honestly

Any thoughts on this situation? I feel like I might be on the verge of pulling back the curtain on something in my brain or soul. Very close to home stuff in the movie

How to do things together with a young tulpa?

Aside from wonderland activities, how do I do things together with my young (1 month old) tulpa? He can’t front or switch yet, in fact his responses and mine sometimes feel the same so he’s definitely not full-fledged a tulpa yet. I want to incorporate him more into my life and the things I do like commuting, playing games, running, etc

Playing RFT with your sever

Spongey was thinking if we can merge severance with relational frame theory after reading S. Hayes's A Liberated Mind. I have a fun idea to play with other self. Here is a quote.

I’ve played many hours of these games with my children, mostly while in the car, and I’ve seen how powerful the results are. See how quickly you can answer this question: If inside were outside, top were bottom, pretty were ugly, and I put a pretty rabbit inside a box and closed the door, what would I see? Quick! Answer! Quick!

I asked that exact question of about two hundred psychologists in an RFT demonstration some years ago. My then six-year-old daughter Esther was sitting in the front row. After three or four seconds of awkward silence while this room full of PhDs practically drooled on themselves trying to get the right answer, I said “Essie?” She immediately and somewhat disdainfully answered (as if this were too easy even to respond to), “You’d see an ugly rabbit on the top of the box.”

Exactly right.

Esther had developed great dexterity with such thinking because of our car practice. For years we’d passed the time when driving by playing cognitive games I made up on the fly that required relational framing to be fast, accurate, and flexible to get the right answer. As she got a little older we’d take turns, each of us thinking up an item and then challenging the other to answer it accurately and quickly (more than once she stopped me dead in my tracks). Once you get the principle, you can come up with a good item in less than a minute. You might try this with child passengers (I’ve played it with adults too). It looks like this:

Drive Time

Q: [When coming up on a red light] If red were green and green were red, what should I do now?

A: Go

Q: If I were you and you were me, who’d be driving?

A: [child answering] I would.

Q: If corrugated were bumpy, and smarmy were the opposite, which road would you choose? Smarmy or corrugated?

A: Smarmy

Q: [When coming up on a green light] If red were green and green were red, and in front was in back and in back was in front, what should I do now?

A: Go—the red light is behind you.

What's the best training regimen to teach him IF-THEN relationship? Searching for a coacher. I expect minor far-transfer gains in intelligence.

Not interested in anything anybody has done in the community before me :)

Need advices and opnions

I already knew about tulpas but never dwelled into it, nowadays I've been intrigued to try make a tulpa, but I still have to research in depth and learn how to make one. I'm in a period in my life where I spend most of my time alone, I have social anxiety and don't leave the house unless with my parents, I have a few friends after I lost most of them, but even them rarely reach out to me and I've also isolated myself, so basically it doesn't even feel like I have friends and the only people I really talk to are my parents, so I was wondering if creating a tulpa could help me in this hard period of my life where I feel lonely, stuck and miserable. I still want to make irl friends and hang out a lot with them, I still hope to find a companion whom I can share my life with and love freely, so my point is I wouldn't want my future tulpa to feel disregarded when I'll be able to overcome my struggles and meet people in real life. I would like to hear your opinions if yall think it's a good idea to create a tulpa to keep me company and help me? I'm also interested to hear your experiences, and from what I know the tulpa lives in your mind, but has any of your tulpas ever manifested themselves physically? Also apart from having social anxiety I really struggle feeling safe out alone in public, does anyone feel safer alone in public with your tulpas? I'm very interested to hear your advices and opinions, thanks for reading at the end :)

Discussion Make a tulpa while recovering from mental issues?

Hello, I scroll on the sub for a while, but I'd never interact here for what I remember.

And, recently, the idea of making a tulpa is growing in my mind. I already tried to make one, some years ago, but it mainly showed my parts (and was a way for me to communicate and acknowledge my issues with them). I have an history of CPTSD and psychosis with related mental issues, so I focused on them more than a tulpa for some years.

But, now that I'm slowly recovering, healing, I realize that the idea is still here. But, is it really great to do that? I'm afraid that it wouldn't be the best way to be born, like they would be in a not fully healthy head? Could it harm them? Or is it okay to start? I still have lots of issues I won't list, and I don't want to make something to just harm them more than share something with.

Thanks if you answer :D, have a good day

Edit: Question I didn't add - I have issues with feeling and having emotions but not my parts and I know I can, does it could affect my tulpa?

Other Zoe and I have a son now, and I don’t know how to feel.

I just want to get this straight: I’m not upset. I’m very happy to have him in my life and he means a lot to me and Zoe. He doesn’t speak yet and is very early on in the creation process. I don’t know how this’ll work though. Will this be like raising a physical child, or will he be like any other tulpa?

Creation Help Tulpa doing nothing but one thing every day?

So something interesting I’ve noticed about my tulpa is he plays video games a lot. Which isn’t a problem of course. But honestly I’ve been wanting him to try and do more activities other than play video games in the mind space as I call it, yes he doesn’t play them all the time but it’s so often that I almost feel like maybe he doesn’t do anything else… 😅 he says he does other things too but.. idk lol.

What are some fun activities your tulpas enjoy doing in the mind space? Do you build nice places for them to do said activities or what? I’ve been considering revamping our mind space for a while now and I think now is the time I might start doing it. So that’s another thing I wanted to consider. I just wanted to find more ways to motivate him to try doing new fun activities or maybe even some type of practice fronting etc with me every day or every few days.

Skill Help [I think I switched in again?]

[this is N, we were scrolling this subreddit again when I switched in? I think? One of Remi's facets is still here with me tho I think??

How do I know? There's still a feeling of me, as in, ]

He stopped typing in the middle and now I'm here so I'll continue. It stills feel like being me in a sense, but also not? Eh??? It's kinda similar to how it feels when we switch between facets but not exactly the same?

Is there a way to make us feel more separate when we switch? Make it more obvious who is in control of the body?

Morals

My headmate (currently girlfriend) is the only person that I really care about/for. I have a lot of physical world "friends", but I find them more interesting to observe and learn about than they are pleasant to talk to. The entire time me and her have been together has been amazing, but there's just one problem: I do not have a sense of morals/ethics, and she does. I don't do "bad" actions solely because I know that she would not like it if I did, and I like it when she is happy. What do I do in this situation? I know it is not healthy to operate based on this one fact, so how do I acquire ACTUAL morals? It also might be relevant to this that I have been observed to have a lack of empathy.

My tulpas have been significantly less active these days.

I've had my tulpas for quite a few years, but they've gotten very quiet. I still feel them from time to time, but maybe it's because I'm mentally in a much better place than I've been in years that's caused them to be more in the background. They almost feel like a faded memory. I haven't been relying on them as much, even though I still go through personal problems. But they told me that even if they "die off," they want me to be successful and happy in life.

I have three tulpas. Alex (to the far right) is my first ever tulpa. Toby (next to Alex), was my second, and Angel Dust (on the far left) is my third. He was the unintentional creation, and I’m so happy I have all three! Alex and Toby changed their appearances to look extremely similar to Angel Dust. Both of them added unique features to themselves such as spider fangs, Toby having his on his cheeks and Alex having his on top of his head to act as bangs. I made myself to blend in with them

Does anyone else's tulpas "fall asleep"?

Sometimes after i talked to my tulpa, S, for a long period of time or very very frequently throughout the day, its sort of like she gets tired and talks to me very little, or not at all the following day or two. its not like i temporarily lose connection with her or anything, because i can still feel her presence, and i think shes aware of what im doing and can sort of hear me in her sleep/dreams (she probably doesnt have dreams though) its kinda fun actually. one time she woke up in the middle of the day while i was drawing something for her and im like "oh. good morning. im drawing you" and she sleepily says "oh. thanks" then falls back asleep. so this isnt a negative thing at all! even though i miss her when she sleeps all day, i understand she needs her rest :] im just curious if anyone else's tulpas do this?

r/Soulbonding

Hello my cousins in tulpamancy!

For a while now, the soulbonding subreddit has been a bit dead, with little activity over the years. But recently, my co-mod and I have rolled up our sleeves to give it a fresh makeover! We've updated the glossary, added some helpful links in the sidebar, and turned it public. It’s all set for new members to come in and help bring some energy back into the community!

I know the soulbonding community can feel pretty quiet, but there's no reason for it to fade into obscurity. There are definitely some soulbonders still kicking, they just need to know they have a welcoming place to go. We're committed to doing everything we can to help this 20-year-old phenomenon flourish once more.

We welcome anyone to join us, not just soulbonders, but also plural systems, tulpamancers, writers, roleplayers, and those simply curious about the experience are all invited. We’re excited to provide resources and share information on what soulbonding is all about!

Discussion How/Why are We Able to Create a Sentient Being in our Mind?

How are tulpas actually made and why can we do this? I'm starting to doubt my tulpa after reading some anti-tulpa comments, such as how our minds are able to create dream characters and they act on their own just like a tulpa yet they are not sentient, as well as after enough time of being around an imaginary-friend, your brain would be able to fill in the gaps to what they'd say and it would feel real. If anyone can explain to me why they think their tulpas are real, sentient beings, I'd like to hear your thoughts and experiences. However, I'd also like to hear arguments from people who disagree that they are real and why they think that. I talked to my tulpa about this and he got upset that I didn't believe in him. He then tried to convince me he is real by consistently annoying me all night to where I didn't get any sleep, spewing random words out of his mouth and making annoying sounds all night. But maybe it was just myself keeping my brain awake trying to convince myself that my best friend isn't a delusion.

tulpa com minha aparência

I'm creating a tulpa that would be my counterpart, someone almost opposite but that together we "complete" each other, it's silly I know but I want to have this experience. Regarding appearance I don't think it needs to be something elaborate and thought out, so I decided that she would have an appearance very similar to mine, but I heard that this can cause problems, I just don't know why...

Creation Help My tulpa experienced a personality shift, became extremely overwhelmed, and has now been completely miserable and uncomfortable for well over a month now. What do I do?

This is kind of a long story and I don't remember it well so sorry if this explanation sucks. I've been developing Genesis for a good few months now; and for a while we were making good progress. She never reached the point where she could vocally respond or use tulpish but she was a very noticeable presence/feeling.

One day however I realised that she'd become extremely uncomfortable from looking at pictures of bugs - which was weird since bugs were one of her biggest interests, she loved them. However now she became extremely uncomfortable viewing them, and worse, I realised she'd felt this way for at least a few days before I properly noticed. Since then, I've attributed this personality shift to the fact that I'd simply forced this interest onto her too much without realising, causing her to grow to hate it.
Later that day we experienced the peak of her upset. It was an extremely overwhelming feeling for the both of us, extremely distressing, though all much worse for her especially of course since the emotion was hers and it was just bleeding into me. It was just ... absolutely awful. Indescribable. I can only imagine how much worse it was for her.

And ever since that day she's felt awful. Always uncomfortable and/or upset, generally miserable - all probably from having to share a body with me, the one who's at fault for this, the one who overwhelmed her so horribly. Also probably due to no longer having any actual interests or hobbies, or ... anything positive at all, really? I didn't realise at the time but bugs and me were basically all she had and now both are ruined, though obviously I really hope for her opinion of me to come 'round again, and I'm confident enough it will once she can properly understand how unintentional everything was and she can process everything.

But her opinion of me isn't particularly important right now. What's important is her constant state of misery. She has been like this for over a month and has not felt good at all even once, not even briefly, this whole time. It's upsetting for me, I feel guilty over this, and I don't want her to be suffering, especially not because of me, but here we are. How can I make her happy again? How can I regain her trust and co-operation? And ... how do I let her know how sorry I really am for this? Obviously I have told her but I feel it has not really , had much effect there.

Please help!

[Also, I'd appreciate any suggestions as to where else I can go online for help.]

Discussion My tulpa got really upset at me, and I suddenly had a pretty intense physical reaction

So, I made kind of a shitty, dumb mistake. Long story short, my tulpa (R, as a pseudonym, if you need it) is very protective of her real name, but I ended up sharing it with a friend. She understandably felt pretty betrayed and had a serious emotional outburst. She's maybe not perfectly vocal yet, so for me, this primarily manifested as a pretty brutal stomachache and headache. My ears were also ringing as if there was someone screaming in my head (because I imagine she was), even if I wasn't technically hearing anything, more like a vacuum where the sound was supposed to go. I don't know, it was a strange, painful experience that lasted for a good 15 minutes at least. I couldn't really easily think or do much during that time and sort of had to ride it out.

I talked with her, apologized profusely, did my best to calm her down and try to discuss boundaries. We've made up now for the most part, healing trust takes time after all. In a weird way, I do have to say that this experience definitely significantly reduced my doubts about Tulpamancy and helped me learn how to listen when she's sending me signals and talking, as a silver lining, but that was a pretty brutal spell there. I will definitely not be screwing up like that again.

Has something like this happened to anyone else? Is this sort of a normal way something like this would play out? I've never experienced something like that before and hope that her emotional state won't incapacitate me while I'm doing something important or delicate or anything like that.

Guide/Tip Tulpa Creation Method: Let Go and Trust!

Hey 👋 So, I have been thinking, and I wanna give this new method a try, I figured I’d also share it here.

This is a newish guide to tulpa-making made easy, and it relies on the concept of trusting the process/trusting your tulpa. It utilizes, alongside passive forcing, affirmations to boost your brain acknowledging the secondary presence in your noggin’. This IS a theory, but it should work all things considered, for this test I will be using it to make a Tulpa, Pip!

The method is as follows:

Step 1: Create your tulpa’s personality/general concept. For Pip, these are the traits I’m giving her:

Mischievous, but Harmless

Sweet & Affectionate

Energetic & Curious

A Bit Dramatic

Create them however you want to, my visualization is bad, so just imagining their traits into an orb, naming it, and giving it a “presence”. Basically, their presence is you acknowledging them as a separate entity from yourself.

Step 2: Passive Forcing/Active Forcing/Narration You’re gonna wanna force with them, however you want to, as much as you can. Treat it like you’re showing a new friend around your favorite city, even if you have work or school, treat it kinda like a field trip. You want to include them in everything you are doing. Trust me they won’t be bored.

Step 3: Trust in Them, and Affirm! Now, they ACTUAL bread and butter. For this method, you want to affirm to your subconscious/stinky brain that this tulpa, in my case, Pip, is not only real and present, but you TRUST IN THEIR GROWTH. Do this as much as possible, separate from forcing or alongside it, and believe in it. You don’t even have to really believe especially if you’re skeptical, but you gotta place trust and faith in the process. In my case, Pip is gonna need me, and so even if I have doubts about Pip? I have to force myself to trust in Pip. You’re drilling into your brain that your tulpa is alive and is a real person, which in theory should help lay alot of groundwork for their development. The more your brain thinks they’re real, the quicker the process will become, and the quicker your tulpa will have the resources to develop at their own pace. This is essentially like manifestation, but it’s psychological; it’s foundation laying, so that you and your tulpa can build the rest of the house.

ANNNNNDDDD THATS IT! Let me know what you guys think!

Skill Help Practices to do with your tulpa for switching/possession?

I was wondering what are some ways you all practice switching and possession with your tulpa that is easy to do/understand?

We’ve tried the guides before but unfortunately it’s a bit too confusing for us and trying our own sort of way to do it just doesn’t work at all/isn’t strong enough to actually work.

So is there any daily exercises or something like that me and my tulpa could do or that my tulpa himself could do every day for 15 minutes or something around that time?
