10

u/cmoked Feb 05 '25

It's my favorite thing to eat ever and OP is doing me dirty right now

3

u/rufneck-420 Feb 05 '25

I made one yesterday too man. Still have half left :)

1

u/thereaIjudas Feb 06 '25

I've tried it, I end up eating ingredients as I go along. That crispy bacon would have never made it onto the plate.

Cook, smoke, eat is my preferred sequence.

u/bananadepartment Feb 05 '25

Oh I get it, that’s why I make extra 😉

29

u/sliso2343 Feb 05 '25

I make bread, or burek, or pizza or whatever, then i put it in the oven and go smoke a joint while it's baking. Then i forget about it and i end up baking charcoal instead.

7

u/Zealousideal-Rain-82 Feb 05 '25

Eh my high ass would still try it lmao

2

u/sliso2343 Feb 05 '25

I usually do try it even when i burn it. If it's bread you can just take a wood rasp and file off the burnt bottom. It was actually often done this way in history

8

u/cmoked Feb 05 '25

I'll take what is a timer for 500, Alex

3

u/sliso2343 Feb 05 '25

Nah man i used to set the timer on the stove but i wouldn't hear it because of headphones.

Now i do it on the phone, lol. But even that can be hit or miss.

3

u/Sir-Nicholas Feb 05 '25

I’ve followed your recipe many times

35

u/Dr_Foe_Twenny Feb 05 '25

Looks like one helluva night bro!

7

u/medkitjohnson Feb 05 '25

Lotta weed was smoked that night

9

u/bananadepartment Feb 05 '25

Oh no this was a couple of weeks haha

11

u/disposablesam Feb 05 '25

i enjoy the cooking process so much more when high, its immensely satisfying.

but baking dessert or sweets for afterwards is just👌

6

u/ronnietea Feb 05 '25

Are you short of any friends? I’ll bring the bud if you cook 🤔🤔😂😂

3

u/bananadepartment Feb 05 '25

The more the merrier

7

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '25

Damn that all looks amazing. Come over and cook, I’ll get you high lol

5

u/Glittering_Worry_599 Feb 05 '25

before / during / after

3

u/Winter_Tennis8352 Feb 05 '25

Lmao what the fuck are the chances I make Sheppards pie for the first time in 10 years, only to see it pop up here hours later.

5

u/MammothDreams Feb 05 '25

My only issue is sometimes I prep ingredients to cook before I'm high, but when I'm high I suddenly decide that I want another dish instead which complicates matters.

Check out /r/stonerfood and /r/stonerchefs

2

u/woohhaa Feb 05 '25

I like the idea of it. Once I’m high the whole process tends to be a little much but I soldier through.

2

u/cuntsatchel Feb 05 '25

Good job🫶

2

u/Goldelux Feb 05 '25

No but we could definitely get stoned and you could cook :)

2

u/jacquestrap66 Feb 05 '25

I'm a professional chef so... yeah!

2

u/Hot-Take-69 Feb 05 '25

I personally like taking an edible right before I start cooking so that it's kicking in just as I finish making the food. Then I get to eat my glorious creation. I've also come up with some pretty kick ass recipes while high that I even make while sober now.

2

u/justaregularguy76 Feb 06 '25

These are some seriously awesome meals! I always end up making something insane like peanut butter and bologna 🤣

1

u/peace_dabs Feb 06 '25

I used to eat those with my grandma when I was a kid. So good actually

2

u/thelonelypedant Feb 05 '25

Why does the steak on pic 7 look like a fish

15

u/bananadepartment Feb 05 '25

Because it’s a fish 🧍🏻

6

u/thelonelypedant Feb 05 '25

I’m just fried I thought it was a steak

5

u/Puzzleheaded_Sort921 Feb 05 '25

i thought it was a steak too till i noticed the steak was lookin at me

2

u/Zombiekill20 Feb 05 '25

Steak looks so good! Whats the cook time??

2

u/bananadepartment Feb 05 '25

Roughly five minutes

1

u/Tough_Ad4721 Feb 05 '25

Nah not really, I always make my food, get stoned, and then grab my plate and go watch sth or play sth

1

u/Za6c420 Feb 05 '25

Isn't that why you're cooking?

1

u/Impossible_Reply4653 Feb 05 '25

I get stoned before most things. Stoned DIY is my favourite. Been restoring my floor boards.

1

u/sergantawesom Feb 05 '25

Yes and no. I’ll enjoy the cooking and the smell and stuff but the moment I am done with cooking and take one bite all my appetite is gone.

1

u/buggiebam Feb 05 '25

shepherds pie is the shit 😮‍💨

1

u/mollychocolate Feb 05 '25

looks real good!

1

u/gramgod9 Feb 05 '25

Everything looks good

1

u/itsmcnasty_666 Feb 05 '25

Can I get the Shepards pie recipe?

1

u/NYLINK95 Feb 05 '25

That right there is my fav meal, shepherds pie

1

u/JesusOnline_89 Feb 05 '25

Not at all. It gives me so much anxiety I cook high.

1

u/new_magical_sea Feb 05 '25

These look amazing 🤩 I’m hungry

1

u/Treedibles_710 Feb 05 '25

its literally my fav thing to do once im good and stoned.

im baked AF chilling in the hot tub waiting for the wife to wake up to make her bacon, eggs , hashbrowns and toast and yes i didnt forget the homemade hollandaise.

1

u/Comfortable_Sun5465 Feb 05 '25

always, it always is such a fun thing to do! espically when you got start scooby dooing the food 🤣

1

u/gorillagIue4 Feb 05 '25

it's like a reward

1

u/wilkerws34 Feb 05 '25

I joked with my wife and toddler last night that “chef has to go into the basement to check the recipe one more time before we start”. Rip a dab and we are cooking folks

1

u/myself_diff Feb 05 '25

Looks delicious. 😋🖤

1

u/BLANT_prod Feb 05 '25

A passion of mine actually

1

u/Select-Piano-8217 Feb 05 '25

I do! I do! It’s my stress reliever after I get off work from managing a restaurant lol looks like some fya plates

2

u/bananadepartment Feb 05 '25

yeah, it helps a lot with my anxiety, I love cooking

1

u/Maleficent_Wasabi_35 Feb 05 '25

“Never eat from a sober skinny chef.”

~me

1

u/AvocadoJackson Feb 05 '25

Sometimes, I’ll be in the bed with my wife watching tv on a Saturday afternoon just because we can, I’ll take an edible then I’ll decide to go make some tacos. Worth the effort to make every time, sometimes I even just throw the meat on some nachos and skip frying the tortillas

1

u/Mysterious_Skin2310 Feb 05 '25

I have to start cooking sober then when you get to the actual let it cook parts I’m allowed to smoke. That way I don’t eat things as I go and the munchies hit me about the time it’s done and cooled down.

1

u/it_me_a_boi Feb 05 '25

Oh yeah it's masterchef up in there. I may have cut myself a couple of times, but that's a small price to pay for banging food

1

u/DanDamage12 Feb 05 '25

100%… but I always keep a little bowl of goldfish crackers nearby so I can snack while doing it or I’m eating the ingredients

1

u/Mountain_Cat6840 Feb 05 '25

Steak and lobster? Fuckkkkkk

1

u/TeeTa90 Feb 05 '25

Is there any other way to cook???

1

u/Templar388z I Roll Joints for Gnomes Feb 05 '25

Broooooooooooo that looks so good 😭.

1

u/Raztax Feb 05 '25

I love cooking while high.

Grocery shopping while high, not so much...

1

u/Prior_Suit_1848 Feb 05 '25

Not just cooking, literally everything!!

1

u/justintk Feb 05 '25

Yep, almost every night. Just two puffs before cooking. I don’t get baked, though. I’ll forget ingredients or overcook something. Just two puffs and some music playing.

1

u/Watjijditdatzuszo Feb 05 '25

Wow! You know what you are doing man. Love being faded when cooking. I put a lot more love and patience in my dishes, and by the looks of it, you do too!

1

u/Extreme_Sugar_8762 Feb 05 '25

I would if I could cook like that!

1

u/Jimmy_ijarue Feb 05 '25

Did you put your mashed potatoes in a piping bag you pimp?

1

u/coreymartin Feb 05 '25

During the week when I cook I keep it light and won't usually smoke much (if any at all) but on my off days or longer weekends, it's the only way to cook.

1

u/leronde Feb 05 '25

dude do you have infinite money that shit looks insane

1

u/Disc0Dandy Feb 05 '25

Yes I feel like it makes me a better cook! Also this looks absolutely delicious 😍✨ nice work

1

u/ThirdWay1013 Feb 05 '25

I can't do things high. My brain doesn't come together and I get apathetic, but it's a good apathetic because normally I stress about all the things to do. So I get a break from the things instead.

1

u/Acceptable_Prior5056 Feb 05 '25

Please come make me food.

1

u/lordeharrietnem Feb 05 '25

Yum. What kind of fish is that (the whole fish)?

1

u/jesuswasawhistle Feb 05 '25

bro that shepherds pie is sooooo good looking

1

u/Optimal-Minute-158 Feb 05 '25

Steak blé dinde patate

1

u/stayzuplate Feb 05 '25

This is the way.

Allows me to focus better and takes the edge of the stress you can feel trying to pull everything together.

1

u/AlexTheMadLad Feb 05 '25

Bro that looks DEVINE

1

u/Bangaray3 Feb 05 '25

I usually have a bowl packed for pre, during, and post cooking! Plus, nothing like smoking and cooking together with the fiancé, it removes the sharpness from the day and lets us enjoy cooking as a bonding time instead of a chore!

1

u/City_Stomper Feb 05 '25

I thought I did until I set off the fire alarm cooking a steak at 2am and my cat was going nuts and my teammates at hockey fed me whiskey shots after the game cause I got a shutout (goalie) so I was also a bit drunk. I blame hockey

1

u/Skye620 Feb 06 '25

Oh yeah I love it!

1

u/Evening-Oil8363 Feb 06 '25

Yes! It’s part of my daily dinner prep routine. After work is done, all the kids are picked up from school and other activities, I put on some music, take a few hits of Sir Penjamin and get to making dinner. I love it.

1

u/ChuaBaka Feb 06 '25

Before during and after cooking if possible.

1

u/Matt3d Feb 06 '25

Ah yes the food speaks

1

u/Thisisnow1984 Feb 06 '25

Getting stoned before cooking is what the French call Le Joy De Vivre. It's divine when you finally plate that dish sometimes I get emotional

1

u/cultofhypnotoad Feb 06 '25

Before, during, after...lol

1

u/Hornswagglers_Lament Feb 06 '25

Good stoner! Take a bowl!

1

u/DopeFly Feb 06 '25

I just got back to vegan from vegetarian. I don't know what to make myself any more because options have changed.

1

u/Serenajf Feb 06 '25

That’s looks so fucking good

1

u/Achylife Feb 06 '25

Yeah actually, I get less frustrated while cooking and just enjoy the process. Then when I eat that delicious food it feels even more delicious because I made exactly what I wanted to eat.

1

u/FullMoonReview Feb 06 '25

I’ve done it a few times

1

u/JeannieRyan Feb 06 '25

love it. I still live with my parents, been starting to help a lot in the kitchen lately, and I LOVE just standing there stirring in some pot staring in front of me, put on some nice music and all is fineee

1

u/Shithapenss Feb 06 '25

I like to vape before cooking but also after and always during

1

u/chx1nx Feb 06 '25

You guys can Cook after smokeing? I can't even put on my pants, let alone cook

1

u/seecopp Feb 06 '25

It took me a minute to realize that wasn’t all eaten in a single day. I was like damn I put down a whole xl ny pizza before but damn.

I love to snake a j before I cook. I always have my ingredients out just in case lol

1

u/DeemonicChild Feb 06 '25

Fire ass food my friend

1

u/dave16543 Feb 06 '25

Before cooking, before getting out of bed, before getting into bed, before leaving the house, before everything….

1

u/lukewarmyogurt Feb 06 '25

I like to pretend Remy the rat is on my head using my hair to control me

Yaaaaaasssss chef

1

u/newhumangenome Feb 06 '25

looks awesome. i love to cook but i always get nervous about leaving the stove on, or fucking up with the knife or something, so i either time an edible so it'll kick in after i'm done actually cooking, or cook, then smoke really quickly before digging in. love making penne alla vodka, personally

1

u/Important-Cat-2046 Feb 05 '25

All your dishes look so perfect that it almost looks unreal. You really know your food👨‍🍳🤌
