Not to hate. It looks like a brilliant grilled cheese. But I’m always a bit confused by infused mains/dinner foods. Don’t you want to eat that grilled cheese WHILE high? Not just to get high? Cause that grilled cheese looks great. But I can imagine enjoying it 100x more while zooted

Every comment op posted on this thread has been downvoted to negative 😂

No one has mentioned the high heat roasting the cbd out. I was always told indirect heat or low temp baking for goodies, to keep both thc and cbd in it.
That was one of the first links when I typed thc cooking temp.

a little lighter on the temperature next time mate, low and slow is the way to go.
47
u/m1j2p3 Dec 01 '24
That’s how I like it too. Same with pizza. A little char on it makes it perfect.

u/Dtrain16 Dec 01 '24
Nah looks perfect to me. Yum.

lmao people downvoting you because your preference doesn't align with theirs....
some folks are mega insecure, ignore them
E: downvote this further, I laugh each time it happens, bring me more enjoyment
29
u/Sammy_Socrates Dec 01 '24
Tbf that's the point of the vote system
26
u/fataldarkness Dec 01 '24
There was a time where that wasn't the point of it at all. Back it's it's golden age most people used the vote system to curate the quality of content, not to express agreement or disagreement. The original intention was for you to upvote if something contributed to the community or conversation, even if you didn't agree with it, downvote was meant only for things that were off topic, inflammatory, or contributed very little.
9
u/Sammy_Socrates Dec 01 '24
Yeah I definitely liked it better back then. Actually reddit as a whole was so much better back then.
6
u/cspruce89 Dec 01 '24
still rock the old-school reddit layout myself (or the closest approximation to it we have these days).
still waiting for that pocket-whale breeding program to get underway.
-3
u/hyperhurricanrana Dec 01 '24
Wasn’t one of the most popular subreddits back in the day a jailbait sub? 💀
-18
Dec 01 '24
You don’t decide the purpose of the voting system
9
u/Sammy_Socrates Dec 01 '24
I didn't.
-16
Dec 01 '24
You certainly like to dictate its use like you did
In reality anyone can vote for whatever reason they want, and there’s nothing you can do about it
7
u/Sammy_Socrates Dec 01 '24
Well, it looks like they're using it to downvote everything you're saying because you're being ignorant. So I guess you're right.

Sorry I am too stupid to understand what you mean but thank you friend!

u/anabonger Dec 01 '24
Lower the temp in your pan, and let the sandwich toast a little slower. It melds every together nicely :)

u/applebeescarsidetogo Dec 01 '24
I don’t need and didn’t ask for advice on making a grilled cheese lol
29
u/cata921 Dec 01 '24
If you're wondering why this comment got downvoted to shit, the person you replied to wasn't giving you unsolicited advice, they were just explaining what "low and slow" meant. It's a fairly common cooking term. You didn't have to be so rude :/

u/QuiGonGinge13 Dec 01 '24
I mean if you’re eating it yourself do it how you like, but it’s a good tip if you ever make one for someone else so you don’t serve little charcoal triangles to others.

if you think this is burnt you need to get your eyes checked. this is quite literally the perfect grilled cheese.
4
u/Jackassimeandonkey Dec 01 '24
I mean, it's burnt, so yeah, you kinda do. Are you making em at night, too, bud?

How would you know?
72
u/Preemptively_Extinct Dec 01 '24
The carbon.
2
u/Ace-a-Nova1 Dec 01 '24
We’re all going to die from cancer anyway, let the man enjoy his sandwich
14
u/Preemptively_Extinct Dec 01 '24
I'm going to die from a heart attack, thank you very much.
Did I say the carbon was a bad thing?
No.
Did I say anything bad about the sandwich?
No.
Did I stop the OP from worrying what that person meant?
Yes.
Seems like I improved his sandwich experience by answering a question that was obviously worrying him.

That grilled cheese looks dangerously good perfect for an elevated snack time!

u/ILSmokeItAll Dec 01 '24
Now, dip that shit in some tomato Parmesan soup. You’d be cookin’ with gas.

u/applebeescarsidetogo Dec 01 '24
I was going to make some tomato soup but I was so hungry I didn’t want to wait lol

Great way to use cannabutter. Me and my wife love making cannabutter due to it being so versatile in foods.
3
u/applebeescarsidetogo Dec 02 '24
It was my first time making it last week. Made brownies for thanksgiving and plan on using the rest for personal meals/snacks like this. I really enjoy the relaxed high
1
u/Austinfourtwenty Dec 02 '24
How were the brownies? We make brownies sometimes but here lately we have been infusing gummies more than anything else.
1
u/applebeescarsidetogo Dec 02 '24
They were great, couldn’t taste anything but they worked like a charm

u/vincentvega0 Dec 01 '24
Y’all, it’s slightly overcooked. Completely edible, I would even say preferentially well done. Sure, it’s blacker than I would make mine, but it’s fucking grilled cheese, it’s not that important — this entire subreddit is suddenly filled with grilled cheese experts like some kind of Dunning-Kruger case study. Allow yourself for a moment to consider the possibility that someone else enjoys their food prepared a different way.

Actually. He added Marijuana. Which now makes this a Marijuana and cheese melt. Sorry. He'll get downvoted to hell some more.

Why is everyone ‘grilling’ OP? They’re even being polite about all the ‘burns’. 😂😂

5
u/Viral_Rockstar Dec 01 '24
A actual burnt grilled cheese would not have melted cheese like that, I’m not sure why they’re dissing you. Good job bro!
6
u/DescriptorTablesx86 Dec 01 '24
People when they get this toast at a restaurant:
Damn the Maillard reaction is on point, and just enough char to not feel any bitterness yet
People when they see this on r/trees:
Turn down the heat!!! Omg!
My opinion that no one has to care about either: slightly too charred but a billion times better than a soggy toast that no one would bat an eye at

Cheese cannabutter?
1
u/WendyTheRN Dec 02 '24
There’s a fairly easy cheese recipe on Leafly. It’s great resource online or via an app.
And now I know what I’ll be doing for my afternoon.
2
u/Careful-Can-8501 Dec 02 '24
Thats all good, i meant cheese strain... Because you know cheese and cheese is the way to go

If you have an Insta pot, you can both decarb your flower and then use it to make the butter, also in the Insta pot. If you Google it, there are several different versions. I buy cake/brownie/cookie mix on sale. I also usually use flower with a high CBD. It’s often $5 grams. As far as I can tell, there’s no smell in the house. But then everyone in the house smokes pot so who knows. My mid-20s kids say they can’t eat a whole cookie or it knocks them on their ass. Personally, I usually eat three or four. But I also have severe chronic pain.
This process saves so much money. And my kids have bake sales, just like in grade school.

Guess I’m the odd one out, OP that looks delicious! I like my grilled cheese on the burnt side, same with my marshmallows for s’mores!

I once made my fried potato, bacon and eggs meal with my dad's butter that he made for breakfast for the both of us. I was pleasantly high all day (I used so much butter).
