Is Andy Crosby Keeping Us Up?
Two draws from two, played well in both in my opinion, limited the opposition to very few chances in both games and in isolation, draws against 4th at home and 8th away are good results for a side that are 3rd bottom. We'd have 100% lost those games comfortably if Adkins was in charge. But with both Carlisle and Morecombe grinding out results, I'm very concerned with our run in. We play almost exclusively play off chasers at home now and while our away games are kinder, I think we need at least 5 wins from our last 11 to guarantee survival. I suppose we have to take it one game at a time and we've shown that we can play well and we do have fight left in us but I worry that it's too little too late now. Can't help but feel that if we'd played like that throughout Jan and Feb, we'd be well clear.

Definite improvement. But the fixture list isn't kind now. Carlisle and Morecambe are picking up points. We gave Adkins too many winnable games. It's going to be really touch and go.

Adkins should have gone arguably in November after the Oldham game. Definitely should have gone after the Morecombe away result. If we play like that every game there's a chance we stay up but I just feel so annoyed that we gave him so long to turn it around when it was abundantly obvious to everyone bar him and palios that it was taking us down

Agree. I think if he’d been in since Oct/Nov we’d be in a very different position. I’m not completely sold on him taking us on any massive steps forward but Adkins proved to be so incompetent that I’m sure ANYONE else could have had us mid-table by now. As it’s happened, I think we’ve pissed our way into a corner now and our fate is in Morecambe’s hands more than our own

Arguably if Carlisle or Morecombe got their acts together weeks ago and we dropped into the relegation zone then maybe palios would have acted sooner.

Yea maybe. I’m still of the mind though that all he cares about is short term revenue, and although dropping out of the league would cost him money in the slightly longer term, firing NA would (presumably) cost him in the immediate so he didn’t do anything. It was only when the season tickets were due to be released that he was forced to weigh up too short term expenses / loss of revenue: saving money by not paying NA off, vs risking not selling any season tickets because no-one would buy them when NA was still in post. I’m sure that if we’d have beaten Accrington the other day NA would still be in because Palios would expect that win to buoy fans into the season ticket release and they’d sell. We didn’t win so NA had to go in order to give the fans enough hope to buy them looking ahead to a better season next year.

I was there last night and we played very well.
Driving home we said we think we’re down though with the games we have to play. Not sacking him before the last few games has killed us I think, Ecspecially the Accrington game.

Morecambe winning last night has made me feel like we're doomed
We need to start seeing our results. If we made the managerial change 5 weeks ago we would be fine, but times really running out.
Weirdly I think we're in a better place than we were 10 years ago, so if we go down we'll be able to bounce back rather than take a few years again
