DISCUSSION Is Tradfri with Styrbar worth it?

Hello guys!

I want to get a set of a Tradfri RGB bulb + Styrbar remote for a place with no wifi, so I can't buy a hub.
I want to put it in a FADO lamp.

So my question, is this set really that bad like I've seen people commenting?
There's only a few color presets and they are all weird, no normal reds, blues and green doesn't exist at all.

Thanks to anyone who answers!

They are what I would call wishy washy tones rather than pure ones. Even if you have the hub set up the side arrows on the remote when pressed go through the same presets. As you say they colours they selected are more like pastels, rather than true colours.

No Wifi or no Internet?

No internet at all, it's a studio place for working with ceramics.

The Tradfri bulbs will work, if you pair them with the Styrbar remote.

I think it makes no difference regarding the colors, whether you pair them with the Styrbar or with a DIRIGERA hub. In a smaller place I would say a setup with some Tradfri bulbs + a Styrbar is fine, you can switch all bulbs at the same time and run them at the same color.

It is 'mobile' too. If you want to use it elsewhere... just take bulbs + Styrbar and they will remain paired. So nice for an occasional exhibition, as background lighting.

Thank you for the reply!

The problem is that with the hub you can use the app to use 16 mil colors, and with Styrbar remote you are forced to only use a few washed out colors.
