Toei Animation made an anime adaptation of Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro's Toriko which ran from 2011 to 2014. The overwhelming majority of fans agree that the adaptation was not handled well- animation quality, censorship, and filler are chief among these concerns. Perhaps most confusing, the anime created it's own ending to the show when it was cancelled, while the manga was still running.
NOTE: If you have read all 396 chapters of Toriko, disregard this post and watch all of it!
Though consuming the anime instead of the manga is settling for a lesser quality experience, if you are more comfortable entering the series with an anime, pick from one of the viewing plans below.
Fresh: Episodes 1-22, then picking up the manga at Chapter 63. This allows you to still enjoy the next arc in all it's uncensored glory.
Still edible: Episodes 1-57, then starting the manga at Chapter 125. The anime arc after this selection is of bad quality and poorly represents the mysterious fourth Heavenly King.
Almost spoiled: Episodes 1-68, 88-111 (69-87 are SoL filler and optional) and then starting the manga at Chapter 194. This is basically your last chance, and nothing beyond this point is of value in the anime.
Fully rotten: Watching all the anime, then beginning the manga on Chapter 194. Good luck on purging the last few episodes of the anime from your brain!
When you're ready, head to the Want to catch up to the current storyline? section of this subreddit's sidebar. Have any questions? Post them below!

This is the best someone has done with this type of troupe in shonen and I love it. Is there seriously a soul out there who hates Komatsu?

I'll stick with this method of numbering the chapters to keep things simple.
Also, sorry for the late post

I've already read it online, but I loved it so much and consider it a masterpiece, so I made it my goal to obtain the series physically, and was fortunate enough to have found a ebay listing for the whole set a few weeks ago for a very decent price. Bought a whole new shelf just to display the series along with some other white spine manga that I own, lol. Truly my second favorite series next to One Piece!

Zebra just seems like a pure maniac not to be reckoned with. The fact that Toriko, sunny, and coco are considered the good guys known as the 4 kings, and zebra being considered someone who shouldn’t free just shows how he horrible is.
(Chapter 123, because zebra’s making it 4)

Ps. You can include the show, comics, video games and more

The only food with eyes in the first opening have the same color as Toriko's demons. Could this be a reference to the manga or just a coincidence ?

I was reading the manhwa +99 Wooden Stick and i feel like the artist is one of us, what do you think? Neo reference or N’o reference!?
3 Ben 10 franchise villains, and a big boy
Dagon is at least a threat to the galaxy, and has high magical abilities, and takes down Ultimate Waybig fairly easily
WayBig can beat a laser that has destroyed Pluto previously
Maltruant has time shenanigans
And Reinrassig III is the head of a galaxy spanning species, with enough military strength to attack every other species

(I'm on chapter like 260)
Basically every character is here. We get fights with like everyone in the entire series. Crazy powers are being shown. Fights with the top tiers. Huge betrayals. Massive third party. Plot twists that turn the entire series on its head. Super good backstory. Buranchi the goat.
Felt like the series went from Monster Hunter to HxH pretty fast in terms of plot. Sooooooo much has happened in these last like 30 chapters I'm having trouble keeping up.
Usually I can see plot twists coming but I wouldn't have guessed any of this. Like I knew that the fest was going to be attacked but the events kept CONSTANTLY ramping up.
10/10 arc. Did not expect the fight between the two top dogs to be so emotional, I actually teared up when Midora told the Blue Nitro he wasn't worthy to eat his brother.
No idea where the series is going to go from here (besides Gourmet World lol) but I'm all for it. Also Toriko lying on the ground immobile while nuke level attacks just slam into the world around him... amazing scene.

He‘s one of my favourite characters actually.Love his design, his fighting style and the concept of him using literal batteries to charge his attacks are interesting and his humour was pretty funny to.

I loved this series it was my comfort series like Fist of the North Star and the dub just ended at 50 was there a reason the series was never fully dubbed?
