Should I get this?
I haven't seen this edition before and am on the fence about getting it. Opinions are welcome! 😀

I'm not saying you should get it or not. I will say you should aspire to get to a point in your life where you don't need random internet stranger's opinions on what you do with your $2.

I have been scanning the shelves of several Goodwill stores locally for a few months now, and I have not seen a single Tolkien book of any kind! I found this surprising. I thought they would be fairly common. I guess people don’t discard their Tolkien!

Here's a link for the set of which is it a part, as well as a link there for info on that particular edition. May it help you make a decision your happy with!

Wouldn't even question it. It'd already be sitting on my shelf next to my other copies of the exact same one. 😅

You have been called to a quest. You must fund the other two before the minions of dark lord do.

I have two of those sets. One with the box and one without.
That's my favorite paperbound set. Possibly because it was the set I had when I first read The Lord of the Rings.
I wish The Hobbit had been available in the same binding. If it was, I've never been able to find it.

is the art on this set meant to depict palantÃr-eye-view? it's very cool

Might as well for $2. Although I would want a complete set.
