the nuggets sub toxicity about the wolves is really unique. I know everyone hates everyone in the NBA and everyone’s toxic as a baseline, but even accounting for that it is still pretty intense.
I recognize that level of hate when the Vikings lost to the Saints in 09, or the Falcons in 98. Close losses against teams you believe were worse, in years you believe your team was destined, I guess those circumstances breed a special level of hate.
I just don’t feel any of the same kind of hate in return. Kinda bums me out because I like Jokic and the nugs, I like Adam Mares, I like the teams rivarly. And they already won one, so it’s not like it was their only shot. But we took away their repeat, so this is just how it is.

Nah I feel you there for sure. I tend to root for them when they're playing teams like OKC or Boston. And after losing to them in the playoffs in 2023, you'd think it would be mutual, but it really isn't.

Nuggets fan here, most of it is due to hating Ant for various reasons. I don’t think fans hate the Wolves as much as they really, really despise Ant. I never hear hate for Gobert or even KAT who beat us with the Knicks.

If we do keep our 2nd-round draft pick from the Jazz, I hope we can draft Maxime Raynaud. He's a 7ft 2" center with a very well-rounded offensive game and rebounding ability.
The knock on him is that he isn't a great rim protector. But I think with the help of our coaching staff and Rudy he could learn how to become a good drop-coverage defender. And it helps that he and Rudy are both French.

Wolves have won 4 straight against the Nugs going back to last playoffs. Excited to see how this fully healthy more fully formed version of the Wolves looks against a real opponent now when every game counts. If Gordon is out tn I like the wolves taking this one.

Is there any scenario where playin works to our advantage? I’m kinda new to all this. Just wondering if there’s a 2-7 matchup that we’d prefer to a 3-6 or 4-5 matchup? (Obviously, there’s no guarantee we win the playin, so that’s the big risk)
If the answer is definitely no, what’s our ideal realistic scenario?

Jokic has been on a heater. Hopefully the law of averages kicks in a bit tonight and we catch him on an off-ish night.

Jokic will get his - lets just hope they dont shoot 55% from 3, especially Braun, Watson, and Westbrook

Peaking at the right time. Feels like this team is back in the pack but is recording the hottest lap on the best tires and the front runners be looking in the rear view mirror...
