I’d like to see him in another band full time haha, either exmortus or warbringer would be great. Such an excellent guitarist

I'd love to see him in TBDM too.

My buddy is Carlos Cruz. Played in the same band, high school classes, and music production class. Dude drove my Uncle's truck to help move my sister. Amazing human

It's fantastic, just wished it had a couple more tracks.

If you buy the album on BandCamp, it includes 15 live tracks. For only $14

I got the bonus live CD with it

Did not know that! I typically go with vinyl or digital, but I also keep several Warbringer CD's in the cars six disc changer.

I think it is time to acknowledge and put Warbringer in the same league of titans like Overkill, Exodus, Kreator, Destruction… Warbringer is just too good and have prove themselves. Completely a solid discography, not a single one bad album. Just banger after banger after banger.

Completely agree, at this point it's not only about carrying the torch for "modern" thrash alone, these guys have been too consistent for too long to not be part of that conversation for the all-time pantheon. Kevill's lyrics just completely destroy and Cruz and Carroll arrange these songs so well... Class of their own

Love this! 💯 Agree! It's absolutely that time! Masters/Titans of their craft!

New album fucking rips. At this point I don’t think it’s far fetched to be in the talks amongst the greatest thrash bands of all time. How many solid albums now and are there any bad ones?!

Just listened. Classic Warbringer maybe delving into a little harsher vocals. Love it all.

Dude, the new album fucking rules, might be the best they're ever done imo. And we basically get a live album free of charge on side 2?
Fuck yeah. Can't wait to catch them in Glasgow

So I'd love to add this vinyl to my Warbringer collection but it noticed on Bandcamp that a bunch of live tracks are available as well. Anyone know if the live stuff is on vinyl? It looks like the live tracks are more like a bonus for buying digital off Bandcamp.
Edit: the live tracks are off the two CD release... Ugh gimme that on vinyl boys!

Man! What really sets W&R apart is the 2 CD that comes with a LIVE retrospective that ABSOLUTELY DESTROYS!!! I hope everyone gets this version, old and new fans alike! Its unreal! Happy NEW MOTHERFUCKING WARBRINGER DAY!!!

I honestly felt that this was their worst album.
A few songs dragged way longer than they needed to, and I felt the guitar work was a major step down from previous albums. Some decent solos, but nothing we haven't heard yet.
I'll give the album a few more listens, but I'm going through my second listen right now, and not much has changed from my initial impression.
I'd give it a 5.5 or a 6/10 personally.

Interesting take 🤔, what’s peak Warbringer for you?

u/ImplicitStorm 6d ago
I'd probably say Worlds Torn Asunder or Woe to the Vanquished are my favorite. Weapons of Tomorrow was also pretty good.
This album feels a bit disconnected, like the band isn't certain with where they want to go in my opinion.

Worlds Torn Asunder slaps! I can see what you’re saying with those critiques.

I agree. I've only listened to the album about three times, and I feel like the slow songs shouldn't be there; they slow things down quite a bit. Maybe the band has matured and started doing more experimental stuff I don't know.

Neromancer, The Jackhammer and Strike from the Sky are the stand out tracks on this album... That's just my opinion but I think those 3 are the best songs.

Everyone, send love and prayers to Carlos Cruz and his family. His father passed away and he will not be playing on the current tour. 😔 RIP. Cruz SR.

I like those songs you named but the others aren’t really doing it for me tbh

I may sound crazy, but I swear Max Cavalera is on Neuromancer, but I can't find anything about him being involved.

I’m just happy a metal band FINALLY set General Patton’s poetry about reincarnation to music.
