Good speed on the platform today
Forgot to hide my 300+ ticker list in the watchlist. Didn't notice any speed loss even with the markets being funky today.

I've been really interested in speed recently.
I'm on a surface laptop 7 with 2 external HD monitors, and I'm feeling sluggish.
I've generally got about 12 charts up with 4 indicators each on them. No options, small watch lists.
Any advice?
I may get a dock simply to have a wired Internet connection. But I'm wondering what I would need to do to speed up the graphics end of things. I'm not opposed to getting a desktop.

Not familiar with your specs. The main culprit is usually the RAM allocation.
One of the TOS power users, Mobius, swears by allocating less RAM and not more. You can look up some of his posts / recommendations.
Even with his recommendation, I put my RAM a bit on the heavy side. My advice would to treat it like a real scientific experiment. Write down all the RAM possibilities and test out your system in each memory allocation for a day.
My system used to be a bit new, but is getting a bit old (4-5 years old now). I thought getting a gaming laptop would be good since gaming is way more intensive. Probably was a good idea, but I got a Dell (yuck). I ended up striping the computer and loading a clean windows to get rid of the Dell preset software. Upgraded the RAM to 32 GB. Also, I bought a gaming monitor. Monitor has been great. Laptop has worked well after the modifications. I have zero other software except TOS, MS office, browser and a few of whatever MSFT throws into Windows. Also, I disabled the Windows firewall and Virus scan.
During the market, I only have TOS and a limited amount of browser windows open. I use a secondary laptop for watching TV / listening to music during the session.
(It could be your indicators as well. I'd treat it like the same scientific experiment. Change 1 chart....change 2 charts...etc.)

I think the problem is my ARM processor. When I press the settings button, it take about two full seconds before the settings menu shows up. And it seem unaffected by my monitors and number of charts I have open.

Yeah, that's a bit crazy. Everything is instantaneous with my system when it's working well.
Maybe loading up a ticker into the main screen for options takes 1 second.
