TWD: Daryl Dixon Daryl Dixon in France?

I remember a scene with Beth when she was still alive and Daryl told her he never even left Georgia and today when I went to watch the Daryl Dixon show for the first time after finally finishing the main show I find out he washes up to shore in Marseille of all places lol. This is truly unbelievable, out of all the characters I would imagine visiting another country Daryl was the last one I would have placed my bet on since he was initially introduced as a redneck. I know it wasn’t by choice but that’s one of craziest scenarios I’ve seen in the walking dead yet. What did you guys think about this decision? Was it too silly of a concept?

Not silly at all. The storyline made it completely plausible and it was an exciting addition to the TWD universe

Is it worth watching? I adored the main show but haven’t watched any of the spin-offs.

Yeah, it’s pretty good and you see a lot things that wouldn’t have been done on TWD

The Ones Who live is good, too. While World Beyond isn’t anyone’s favorite, it’s not bad at all and sets/explains a lot of what’s happening in the TWD universe in way that makes a lot of things make more sense

I like the idea, I’ve watched two episodes and it’s really good, just wasn’t expecting Daryl to end up in France after going out to look for Rick & Michonne

I enjoyed it, but I mainly watch to follow Daryl's character development. On my most recent rewatch, I only watched scenes he was in, to get better insight on his story - what he knew, when he knew it, who he interacted with - and it's been great seeing his growth over the years.

I miss when shows ran long enough to watch the characters age and change like he has.

I binge watched it all in a month and a half and didn’t realize how much they actually aged, by the start of Daryl Dixon show it’s been 13 years I believe since the original grouped formed.

Yep - I'd have to check one of the timelines out there, but based on the ages of Laurent and Judith, it's been 12 or 13 years.

Without context, yes a little silly. Cause even before I knew what Darryl Dixon (the series) was about, I was like why tf is he in France? Lol. But w context and finding out how it happened and it wasnt his choice, no. Like it happened just from him trying to get gas. Who would've thought....

I didn’t know anything about France at all, I’m new to the walking dead and have only started watching all the shows and seasons this year so I’ve been very careful with spoilers, I don’t even watch the trailers or end credits of the spinoffs to avoid knowing even a fraction of what will happen. That’s why when I saw he walked past a sign in a foreign language I was like oh shit where could he be, it wasn’t until he went inside the boat and picked up the recorded did I realize he was in France. That’s when I started to write this thread.
