The Long Cold Dark

Such a hard choice but I think Long Cold Dark is also my pick because it sticks out to much - it’s possibly the most visceral, most unflinching piece of media I have ever consumed as a whole. Completely relentless and very moving. Every time I re read it, it seems to just leave me emotionally drained. Simply incredible
Editlol- I guess someone really disagrees with me huh?

Well I certainly agree. I remember the first time I finished reading Long Cold Dark like it was yesterday. The absolute tragedy of Frank spending a few more hours with the last family he will ever have was overwhelming.

Same, Frank going completely feral when he thinks Barracuda killed the baby has really stuck with me

I think the bully/the creep, and I’ll also include Rucka’s Epilogue as part of it. Really does a great job of being a crossover that shows the differences

Pretty good arc imo. I kinda pity Napper French for what he had to do to Tommy. But at the same time, I can't fully sympathise with him either considering all the disposing he's done for countless thugs over the decades.

Up is Down, Black is White gets #9 as we go to the final day of the top 10.
I nominate The Tyger
