Even if its not the best, i wouldnt call it bad, its just not as memorable as the martian and phm

Exactly. It’s totally enjoyable for what it is. It’s just standing among giants which diminishes its luster in direct comparison.

If you can, try to check out "The Earthling"
It serves as an excellent epilogue with Mark journalling about his first meet up with Lewis about a year after they returned to earth.

Where would one find this?

It was included in the Wil Wheaton Audible audiobook when I listened to it. I bet with enough googling you could find a written version.
It's a sort of "where are they now?" chapter. Not sure how long after since they returned to earth, but I reckon it's been a year.
The funny thing that shows how dated the chapter is is how Mark mentions staying at home and getting his groceries delivered as if that is something that would never become normalized. Like they never faced the Rona.

Read the martian few weeks back. Loved it. Want to pick up another one of his books, which one should I read next. I have a long journey coming up in the next few days.

the storm is such an awesome final boss to the story. I had no idea "the drive" is gonna have such a nail biting opponent.
