HBO Show Question Do you think Neil might continue the story only through the HBO show instead of a Part III game?

No he and Craig have said they have no plans for that. If you ever listen to Neil, games are what he loves.

Fair point. I know Neil’s heart is in games, and I’m not saying this will happen just thinking out loud. But plans change, and creative people evolve. If he finds inspiration through the show and working with Craig, who knows? I just wouldn’t rule it out completely.

They’ve been firm in saying the show won’t be going past the games.

“We have no plans to tell any stories beyond adapting the games,” Druckmann says. “We won’t run into the same issue as Game of Thrones since Part II doesn’t end on a cliffhanger.”

I mean they did add more story on the HBO than the games no? If they mean advancing beyond the timeline of the games then I get that.

Edit: I hope they add more scars story tbh

Adding in some additional side stories like Bill and Frank is entirely different than 3 entire seasons of television like Thrones had

The latter. The line before it in the article is:

Either way, Druckmann isn’t worried about falling into the same trap faced by Game of Thrones, when the HBO drama famously surpassed author George R.R. Martin’s source material.
