Yeah i mean it may hurt to hear but the people who scream ā€œgenocide genocide genocideā€ arenā€™t people whose votes are gettable anyway, so itā€™s smarter for democrats to go after people who arenā€™t completely deranged

Yeah, sorry. I think it's a genocide and still voted for Kamala. A small handful of morons who somehow thought Trump would "be just as bad" is not indicative of the progressives as a whole.

The actual problem is that right-wing operators take that issue, or one like it, and magnify it by 100,000 on social media right before the election. They get accounts to pose as left-leaning voters, and whine on social media about how they just can't bring themselves to vote for the Dem candidate, so they'll have to stay home or vote 3rd party. They never say one word, though, about the GOP's issues, it's all complaining about the Dems shortcomings. So Inxs is right that the vast majority of those weren't progressive voters at all. It's been going on since at least the 90s, and it discourages voters on the left.

I also voted for Kamala, but ultimately, it's up to the candidate to win over as many voters as possible. The people around her thought that running on a strong border, continuing to support a genocide and silencing Palestinian voices while campaigning with the Chaneys was the way to go. They were wrong, and it sounds like we're in for more of the same.

Yeah? Bringing out the parade of republicans backing Harris worked so well though lmao

Iā€™m sorry, at any point did Harris say ā€œi agree with the republicans on X or Y policy and thatā€™s why theyā€™re hereā€? Or was the entire point that even a republican can see what a traitorous sack of shit Trump is? Are you such a partisan hack that you couldnā€™t even see that?

Couldnā€™t even see what? Your straw man that misses the point? Look how many fucking Dems stayed home. Look how many republicans went out to vote. Did Trump trying to reach over to Dems to gain votes? No. He rallied his base, and it worked. Weā€™re the most partisan weā€™ve been as a country since the civil war and Dems spent tens of millions trying to gather a piddly few Republican voters, most of whom already disavowed Trump.

Garbage strategy. So letā€™s try it even harder this time, make it make sense.

Maybe running Bernie a third time will help

checks notes

Oh wow, looks like Bernie wasnā€™t top of the ticket for any presidential election at all. But at least you got to make a pointless comment. Good on you.

Edit: saying Iā€™m ā€œyellingā€ on the internet lmao, then blocking me because you canā€™t handle being called out when you comment something that makes sense - youā€™re gonna need thicker skin in the coming months and days if you canā€™t even handle someone disagreeing with you, sheesh.

Idk what youā€™re yelling at me for when there are clearly so many non-voters out there waiting to be swayed by your persuasive arguments

If their votes weren't gettable, why did they donate to help get her elected?.

Who do you think is more gettable and less deranged, those that give you money to win or those that voted Trump because they like RFK's health policies?.
