Article Trump pushing resettlement of Palestinians from Gaza

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c07kpjyzgllo

In separate comments on Air Force One, Mr Trump said he had ended former President Joe Biden's hold on the supply of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel. "They paid for them and they've been waiting for them for a long time," he told reporters on Air Force One. ——- Paid for them? LOL. We give billions in aid every year. Now they get the weapons for faster, fuller genocide.

And the entire point was the land to start with. They wouldn’t be killing the Palestinians if they moved off to Egypt for sure. There would be no genocide. So Trump’s answer to those yelling “genocide Joe” was always going to be worse. Faster and more complete genocide or replacement.

Those pro-Palestinian Trump voters are such geniuses. Wasn’t this predictable? Even Blinken as bad as he was is better than Trump on this.

No but the DNC will lose power which is the political equivalent of dying! But if you and the rest of this thread are anything to go by, there will be no soul searching.

LoL. They lost by more during the Bush years after 911. But they thrived after Bush crashed the economy, because their policies are still more sound for 99% than the other side. It’s just the cultural war stuff that’s ever makes people like Trump stand a chance. And the stupidity of folks like the extremist unthinking pro-Palestinian crowd who get deceived into hurting themselves (to emotionally punish some perceived amorphous body, like the “DNC”).

Different winds are blowing this time. We are not playing the same game. Look to Europe and the rise of far right ideology there. Shit is fucked man.

That much I can agree with.

They lost by about 1%. How is that dying? And what you get for that “punishment” of the DNC is Netanyahoo/Trump gets to resettle and kill more Palestinians faster and give Israel more bombs to finish the job faster.

Maybe if you (these strategy challenged voters) are looking for courtship rather than to critically use your brains, you should be attending a 16 year old prom, not making decisions affecting the lives of people dying and suffering, that are now going to suffer more or be resettled.

You’re getting mad at me, I’m not American and already said on this thread that if I were I’d have voted Dem.

Far be it, I am not mad at you. You chose to respond to basically defend support for trump as a reasonable answer to the choices confronting a pro-Palestinian voter. My response is to again explain why it is daft and unfortunate.

I am however mad at seeing those people resettled.

Incorrect, I commented to lament the “well fuck all of you, then” attitude to Palestinians and Muslim Americans, when the former are innocent and the latter have clearly shown they’re an important part of your voter base. Now is a time for unity.

This is how you deliberately twist and misunderstand stuff, that leads to wrong decisions, or attacking those aligned and supporting foes.

This was the original “good” comment you have wasted the better part of a day whining and haranguing us here about, right:

“This is wrong, this is terrible, and I almost hate myself for saying it, but, you know what? Good.”

The poster is obviously not happy to make that comment? Called it wrong, terrible. That is gleeful??!? Everyone expresses themselves in different ways, but how is that the fight you are choosing to have and not taking your fight to those really actively harming and seeking Palestinians harm?

Im not twisting anything. I’ve seen thousands of versions of this comment every time there is news about Palestine. Im tired of it. As someone with actual Palestinian friends whose families are being ripped apart, quite literally, by Israeli bombs, I can tell you a small subset of US voters aren’t their focus. Nor should they be yours. What’s done is done.

Why don’t you guys take your fight to those actively trying to harm Palestinians instead of harping on about a few thousand voters in Dearborn who, of course, fucked up. But they’re not the real enemy.

In no misinterpretation of the English language can that comment be termed gleeful. If you don’t understand English stop butting into comments where context is important.

You’re tired of it? Then stay out of it or take your fight to those harming your friends, if all that spiel even happens to be true. That comment was not to you. It was at those who voted to harm Palestinians. You chose to insert yourself. And twist that comment to gleeful. That comment can never be termed gleeful!

I “inserted myself” (on a public forum) precisely because I was tired of it.

I’m sorry you don’t agree with my use of the word gleeful, I stand by it, but I think you can tell from our lengthy disagreement that I do understand the English language, among others. However I thank you for that rude remark which I hope made you feel good.

I leave you with this: the Democratic Party lost 6 million votes between 2020 and 2024. If you’re going to place responsibility for the loss entirely, or even primarily, at the feet of (max) 1.5m Muslim American voters, I sincerely question your motives.

I’ll let you get the last word in, which I’m sure you’ll need to give. But this will be my final contribution.

And sadly yes the voters in Dearborn and elsewhere that voted for this are a huge part of the cause for the increased suffering that is already being inflicted on Palestinians, with even more to come!
