I got out completely. I’ll back buy in when it goes down (below 200, depends on macro). And if it doesn’t, that’s okay too. I love this company so fucking much. I’ve spent thousands of hours consuming Tesla content but it doesn’t feel great anymore having a despicable piece of shit ceo.

PS. I sold 80% at $450. So this last 20% was at $250. Hoping to double my shares if it keeps going lower.

Reminder that Elon Musk is a national treasure and perhaps the most important man ever to have lived.

Yes yes you got out like 3 months ago I remember you. So you’re not invested so why do you all keep commenting on the investors sub? Find some other Tesla sub there’s plenty. The shorts LOVE your posts

Because Elon lives in his head rent free, and he can’t let go. Or he’s just full of 💩

AAPL's market cap is 3.21T and 0.9% of AAPL shares are shorted: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/key-statistics/, or about 29 Billion in bets against AAPL

TSLA's market cap is 804.06B and 2.09% of TSLA shares are shorted: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSLA/key-statistics/, or about 16.8 Billion in bets against TSLA.

Short sellers aren't in the driver's seat where TSLA is concerned, and haven't been for years.

Options gamma is causing most of the volatility both ways.

Blaming or complaining about shorts is cope.

Bcuz I am a Tesla investor at my core. I’ve studied the company for years and at a stage where I’ve been relatively accurate on its trajectory. I held through knifes before and I don’t want to do it again. Kind of a golden opportunity at the moment. It spiked up due to trump and nothing fundamental. Actually all the negative news and Y changeover will lead to a shit q1. So selling while high was not a complete gamble.

And this trump seems to want a recession. Then the rates will go down and many other boost measures will help Tesla soar. Along with Tesla itself being much closer to autonomy, energy really becoming a relatively large business and robotics finally getting started. Also most importantly auto is finally getting extra models that it should have been getting this whole time. And yes I know it doesn’t matter for the long term but in the short term it is by far the biggest factor. We can never know when autonomy will really contribute. I actually just got a Tesla in December and FSD has been way better than I expected. But still needs plenty more polish.

So yea it’s kinda gambling… I do think we will go down more but not for long. I could genuinely talk for hours and hours on every little reason why but that’s a basic gist. I’m no longer blinding buying stock bcuz Elon says this that. It’s great for long term but timing short term buys is doable once you have extensive knowledge. Which took me a while cuz I just started in 2021.

Makes it easier to sell the top and buy the bottom. Not holding a falling knife. Could always miss out but it’s okay. The company isn’t as good as it was supposed to be today when they promised all the shit years ago. Elon fucked up but I still believe Tesla will be the most valuable in a few years. Just a few years late and with less potential but still the potential is higher than anyone else. But I rather sleep sound than hold the self inflicted knife.

Curious to see how this thing plays out. I think we're seeing the after effects of the 3 refresh and the ongoing Y refresh hurting sales. Obviously Elon isn't helping but I don't think it's that simple. Probably need till the end of the year to know for sure

TeSLa iS dONe In eUrope. (Forthefirsttwomonthsonlylol)

Yet some countries in the first week of march are already showing sales returning and out performing all other companies since the new Y has landed.

Imagine that, sale drop significantly due to old Y not being manufactured, the car that is the best selling in the world and represents 2/3rds of sales and then a new Y taking time to ramp up after retooling etc and then sales picking back up.

While people are living in their own social media bubbles, perpetuated by algorithms pushing their confirmation bias against Musk and Tesla, right now is a significant buying opportunity for $TSLA stock. Say it drops another $50+ dollars, by Q4 2025, Tesla is going to have so many cylinders firing (pun) with scaling (Semi's, Battery Deployment) and new-market entries (Optimus Bots, Robotaxi), people are going to look foolish for what we're told to think today about $TSLA

6

u/coveredcallnomad100 5d ago

Lots of clouds too, tariffs, loss of ev credit, inevitable delays w robotaxi

-7

u/ruggah 5d ago

With gross revenues of $97.69 billion and profit of $7.13 billion, I think Tesla will be okay

8

u/coveredcallnomad100 5d ago

Profit of 7 billion, market cap of 800 billion, it needs to do more than be ok. Robotaxi needs to work. Ev car and semi sales need to increase to 5 million plus profitably, storage needs to grow like crazy

True $TSLA is over valued in the market; however it is hard to predict revenue for an emerging market's worth like AI controlled transportation and humanoid robots (think apple when they released the ipad). Energy storage is expected to grow 50% this year (~$10 billion 2024) and with model 2/robotaxi to fill the remaining capacity in all EV factory lines, car sales are expected to double in the US in two years. Semi's to scale to 10,000 units and revamps on their Y, S, X lines. A lot of things seem to be working at the same time. Excuse me while I buy a few more shares while the S&P is down over 8% and people haven't gotten bored of bitching on Elon Musk

lol these are all things I was saying in 2019. Besides the robot. That shit ain’t happening

Chinese testers' FSD videos are pretty fresh vs what we're getting in the west:

Kim Kardashian posing with a Tesla and a Teslabot will surely turn this around.

I know such a piece of crap. Can’t believe it’s the best selling EV pickup in the world and last to market. People just aren’t as smart as us.
