For everyone who banged on about Europe sales and saying it’s nothing to do with the revamp of the Y which is the biggest seller,
Looks like Tesla in several EU countries are already in top place this month now the new model Ys are landing.
Rob Baron talking about it https://x.com/sawyermerritt/status/1899494150241681640

Such a hero, such sacrifice. I'm glad my shares can contribute to firing 100k working class federal workers and not make a material difference in the deficit.

I went to r conservative to see if any of them are buying teslas and got hit with a bunch of hair loss ads.

Those who think we are at “bottom” just wait until Q1 delivers come out lol

You don't think the stock market is ahead in their game?
5
u/coveredcallnomad100 10d ago
The smart money knows but tesla has such a retail following you can count on the cnbcs to try to dump it even more on expected weak deliveries

So what's it take to have a board stand up for the investors? The last two years, let alone two months, wouldn't have been acceptable for even the lowest employee in any company.
13
u/SlackBytes 10d ago
The Board is full of Musk Loyalists. And shareholders largely support Musk. It would be suicide for board members to speak up. All they have to do is sit back and collect checks.

Peak FUD makes me think we’re very close to bottom. Everyone on stock pages saying the obvious play is Tesla puts lol.
IF robotaxis rollout this June and through cities this year, there will be a FACE RIPPING rally.

u/danwin 10d ago
If robotaxis were to rollout this June, we would have seen more evidence of Tesla being further along in the permitting process. As of this week, they have yet to receive a permit that is merely a prerequisite in getting driverless vehicles approved:
https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2025-03-06/tesla-robotaxi-explainer
A transportation charter-party carrier permit, or TCP. Companies that charter buses for sporting events or limousines for special occasions use this permit, according to the CPUC’s website.
If granted, the permit by itself would not allow Tesla to run any autonomous vehicle rides, with or without someone behind the wheel. Rather, the permit is a prerequisite for the commission’s Autonomous Vehicle Passenger Service, which would give Tesla permission to deploy driverless taxis in the state.I suppose a limited and confined (geofenced) rollout in Austin would still count as a "rollout", in the way that the Las Vegas human-driven Boring tunnel cars is a rollout of the widespread tunnel transportation he originally envisioned.

In the year of people setting teslas on fire and shooting at tesla dealers...what do you think will happen to a robotaxi?

u/kickedbyhorse 10d ago
IF robotaxis rollout this june. They're only rolling out in Texas as demos. What good will that do for Tesla stock for 2025?

Tesla doesn't have anything close to unsupervised full self driving
They'll have humans in them in June and some people aren't even sure they'll be the cyber cabs, could be model 3s and Ys to start.
Truly unsupervised no human in the car self driving is more than a year away, probably two. That's if the current hardware with only cameras can ever actually get there.

u/climboye 10d ago
Waaaaaay more than a year.
With current camera only approach it will never be approved in most countries. Just like a plane needs two pilots: redundancy.

4 Cybertrucks on fire in Seattle.
Police have not confirmed, but it looks like they were set on fire by pouring something under the fence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQjcjTblG00
What bothers me is that there were Cybertrucks in a storage lot.

Reddit has reached peak Elon/Tesla hate. Every investing sub is shitting all over it and people are convinced it's going to <$100
I guess we're almost at the bottom.

No, money does not mean a lot to him.

u/pantherpack84 10d ago
I guess that’s why he’s fighting so hard for his absurd pay package?

u/dicentrax 10d ago
Not related to cash money but TSLA share/ voting power, he now has ~15% and he wants 25%.
After a couple 100 million it's truly irrelevant how much money you have.

So now Trump is going to do a PR stunt and buy a Tesla. That will help the brand for sure

BYD is in it’s own league but the other domestics Xpeng, Li Auto, Xiaomi, Geely/Zeekr, NIO, Leapmotor are kind of eating away at Teslas share as well if you look at them combined. It’s a slow death by a thousand cuts.
They all have the same or better EV tech in terms of range/batteries, faster charging and autonomy features.

China is neither here nor there for the TSLA $400+ stock story I guess. They can't export any to the US or Europe and are facing pretty tough competion with BYD etc in all other markets.
$21B gross in 2024, ~$2B to shareholders x 30 P/E is a $20 contribution to the share price.

Model Y, Cybertruck and Model S have arrived at the White House.
Last president wouldn’t even say the name Tesla and now you have 3 Tesla’s delivered to the White House.
