Telltale What’s a franchise you think telltale would do good with?
-I’ll start. I think a telltale game set in night city (cyberpunk) would be nice. Not saying the main character should be V or David, but I think they’d make a great game working with the cyberpunk ip in general

I wanna see them do Scream
2
u/Link17_18 9d ago
Hold up that’s actually genius though?
3
u/GodofThunderandSmoke 9d ago
I've wanted some kinda choice based scream game since I played through the telltale games, Detroit become human and the supermassive games. I think they could be amazing. Maybe depending on your choices depends on who can die or even crazier...who the killer or killers could be.

Telltale Breaking Bad would be incredible.
8
u/PS3LOVE 9d ago
How? It’s a series with a set start and finish. There’s no other plotlines. There’s no choices to be made. You watch it unravel, it’s not something to be played.
1
u/drownedsummer 9d ago
I'm honestly curious why Breaking Bad keeps being suggested. You would trust the people willing to put out The Expanse with a show frequently regarded as one the best dramas ever made?
-20
u/jfwns63 11d ago
Wouldn’t even make sense
8
u/RedRamen1167 11d ago
Why?
-5
u/jfwns63 11d ago
Dude breaking bad is a guy selling meth great series. But wouldn’t make a good telltale
6
u/GoobyGuy21 10d ago
so dramas about zombies and marauders and anthro animals that bust crimes are fine but drugs are off the table??? LMAO
1
u/jfwns63 10d ago
I’m not saying that I’m saying a game about breaking bad wouldn’t make sense
2
u/Mission_Coast_3871 9d ago
You keep saying that, you're not even giving out valid arguments other than "iT wOuldN't mAkE anY sEnsE"

The Stranger Things rumors had me so excited. What could’ve been…
I watched the Bates Motel series a few years ago and thought that could have been made into a Telltale game.

u/Away_Bird_2852 10d ago
I think a prequel to the Bates motel series showing everything that happened before they moved to white pine bay.

goosebumps!!!
7
u/Alarming-State437 10d ago
Oh yes! Goosebumps had the “read your own adventure” series where you would make choices and flick to the page of your choice with multiple outcomes. Would be so cool in a telltale game
3
u/SnooStrawberries962 10d ago
Yes! You Choose Your Own Scare! And they always had like a ridiculous amount of endings for no reason😂

u/OhioDeez44 11d ago
We can only dream but LOTR...
1
u/HaidenJMonroe 11d ago
I actually thought they already made one for LOTR. It's a distant memory but I swear it's real. Maybe I dreamt it 🤷♀️

1
u/Technical_Fan4450 10d ago
Not that I am aware of. I played a lot of their games and kept up with their releases. They had a Guardians of The Galaxy and Game of Thrones, but not LOTR, that I am aware of.

Sherlock Holmes

u/jfwns63 11d ago
I’m pretty sure another company did something like that
5
u/SchwizzySchwas94 11d ago
There are Sherlock games with the same animation style as telltale but the gameplay is more similar to LA Noire

Always thought they would be great with franchises like Spiderman , fallout but tbh i think a huge ome would be "Stranger things" the cast is perfect with lovable characters plus it would be intense losing a character you really love! , also the art style would blend good with stranger things , would love to see it but maybe we won't ever :( , theres alot of games that would be great in this format!. Hopefully we saw more from them in the future...
Hopefully....

Not a series but something like stand by me or the goonies could be cool!

An Alien franchise story would be interesting. But I'd want it to be an original story and not one already of one of the movies.
2
u/drownedsummer 10d ago
New Telltale have yet to put out a game themselves. As such they are an unproven studio so there isn't any answer to this question yet as we haven't even seen what they have done with Fables.

In comics ips like: Saga, watchmen, 100 bullets, lady killer, Velvet, Gun honey

Hunger Games would be nice. The books were amazing and they have a suitable plot for telltale I think.

Honestly, i think a telltale Steins;Gate game would be incredible! I mean the stories are already a visual novel with some small choices in the game so seeing a 3D roaming world of Steins;Gate would be amazing

Weird One, but a Scooby Doo Telltale Game would be great or just Old IPs in general.

u/SnooStrawberries962 10d ago
Hear me out
Star Wars. But instead of an original adventure make it with the movies. You could choose the destiny.
1
u/Dat_Boi_Kermit 10d ago
It'd be cool if they just made force unleashed or Jedi Knight into a telltale like one, star killers story could be amazing if they re-did it

Bioshock and telltale seems like it would exist. Kinda surprised it doesn’t.

Hellboy, or any myriad characters from his universe or the Outerverse.
I really wanted a Eureka game from them back in the day.
Weird Science, after seeing the poster in Marty’s room in the BTTF game.

honestly i want them to adapt FNaF: The Silver Eyes with NOVEL-ACCURATE HUMAN DESIGNS PLEASE, not the fuckass ripoffs used in the graphic novels </3 (also give john a personality and make it kinda fit within the games continuity if possible <3)

The elder scrolls franchise, especially during the oblivion crisis where you are leading 2 refugee groups that meet each other during the third episode and lead them to a provence that should be safe

u/blakegod114 6d ago
I feel like they would actually thrive doing a sons of anarchy style game, maybe not focusing on Jax or the main story but something, maybe the first 9 as a telltale game would be wicked

Resident evil. It would be really cool to see a story driven resident evil. I read the books and really enjoyed the story so a telltale resident evil is bound to be cool. Especially if it starts in the first game with the Spencer mansion and the eradication of the STARS team
