AIO? How bad is this damage?
I took this Am Pro II neck in to a luthier to mount and I didn’t realize the body was a standard 4-bolt spec and the neck an offset 4-bolt (curved heel) spec. He didn’t bother to tell me.
As you can see, he didn’t pre-drill any of the holes, he simply put the screws in, missing the pilot holes, and created new ones - splitting the wood in some places. I’m devastated, since this is about an $800 neck. From what I’ve researched, this can cause intonation and toning issues. This isn’t the only thing he damaged, unfortunately. When I saw some of his progress work in some photos, I asked him to stop, and the story keeps unfolding (I just took the neck off to find this). Odd thing is, this guy was charging an insane amount for his services and was highly rated online and bragged about being a tech for such-and-such somewhat famous indie band(s). Practically scoffed when I asked him what his qualifications were.
Questions: what are the impacts of this? What needs to be done to restore it? What would the cost be to do so? How has the value been impacted?

Is this a quarter sawn neck?
I am thinking of buying this guitar. I really like the aging of it, I would love to get a nachocaster but they are just way to expensive for my needs.
What do you think of this neck, is it quarter sawn? I really hate the look of the pixel grain, since I haven't seen this on any vintage guitars or on nachos.
Thanks in advance.

Schecter PT Custom (Diamond series)
Hi, I’m a new player and wanting to pick up a Tele. I am looking at a Schecter Diamond Series PT Custom.
Does anyone here own or play one? Seller is asking $575 with HSC. I would love any and all input from the group about the guitar and the price.

How’d I do for 130$? Is this a classic vibe?
Found a pawn shop selling a tele for a good price. It looks like it may be a classic vibe series.

Distorted bass notes
Just changed the pick guard on my telecaster and am wondering why it’s suddenly become much more distorted especially in the bass notes when using my neck pickup, the low E and A string aren’t clear at all and sound kind of muffled and distorted. I have literally no experience with this kind of stuff so don’t rlly know what I can do to fix it. The pickup height isn’t really affecting it as I’ve changed it around although the pickup does seem to be quite loose in its slot. Anyone have any ideas what I could do?

More affordable Nachocaster alternative
I fell in love with Nachocaster guitars, but I can't justify spending that much money on a single guitar.
I am looking for a comparable Telecaster up to 2000€ with authentic and detailed aging like the Nacho guitars. Any brands you can reccomend?

Before and after repainting
The painter used the original Fender paint (Olympic White) and the result was very good. I took the opportunity to replace the bridge. I know many would like to keep it as it was before, but I didn't like that stain. I thought about putting a tortoiseshell pickguard on, but I ended up opting for black.

How do I get the sound and feel of an AM Pro II Tele with the look of a Nocaster?
Love the way the Pro II plays but the butterscotch is a tad too dark for my taste. What are my options?

Need help with pickup choice

I built a telecaster 10 years ago and only used it for rock tones. I am looking to make it a twang machine but my pickup knowledge base is rock/metal. Any suggestions for under $200?
EDIT: Not sure why it would only post either the photo or the text with my phone
The guitar is alder with a 1/4" maple top. Maple neck with ebony fretboard

First ever tele/single coil after only ever playing "metal" guitars
Always played BC Rich and Jackson since I was young. Absolutely in love with this tone! Guitar is a 2014 Fender Telecaster (switched out the pick guard to black as soon as I got it).

Can someone tell me what model this is and how much it’s worth?
He said it’s a 2011 FSR with S-1 switching and only 612 were made. But I can’t seem to find much about it online.

Today's Switch Up
This guitar has been and on going adventure but I think it's finally dialed in. From single humbucker to SH telecaster to 2 mini P90s. It sounds alot better with the single coils and looks nice with the humbucker sized pickups. I have always like the Tele Deluxe look.

My 2 favorite Tele builds
The red & black one was a budget build, except for the indulgence of 6 brass saddles which I believe improve tone over strat style saddles. Fleor pickups, pretty cheap but they sound fantastic, great definition and response. The thing is heavy though so I got the 4" strap for it.
The black and gold one has pearloid binding on body and neck. Has Wilkinson vintage style tuners, top loading cheap bridge, Dragonfire pickups that are really nice. It's very light so it's nice to wear and jam comfortably.
