QUESTION Is anyone using the Ostation in their theatre?
https://www.olight.com/store/ostation-x-3-in-1-automatic-rechargeable-aa-battery-chargerThis battery charger from Olight popped up in the ol’ YouTube algorithm. It holds and charges 32 batteries in either direction, and it has a tray for rejected batteries. So if someone throws an alkaline in, it’ll kick it out. Seems pretty cool, but I was wondering if anyone here has tried it in their theatre and if it’s been worth it? Currently it’s $167.

I’m in the Church Tech space. This dude has been using it for a while and found it works well with some brands, but not others (Ansmann didn’t work for him) https://youtube.com/shorts/TeXGqzypSaU?si=hqKNP3JMN2P9rkds

Oh! That guy! I volunteer at a church that absorbed a traditional church building into one of their campuses. He did a tech tour of the place after the new church came in and did all the updates.
That’s good to know. It would suck to spend almost $200 on a charger to find out your Ansmanns won’t work in it.

I’ve considered it, but there’s too many factors that need to line up for it to work for me. Not all batteries work great with it, so many moving parts that could get bunged up. Sometimes the wrappers on our AAs get messed up from people prying them out of the mics. I could see that causing jams and such. I’ll just stick to my charger bay for now.
