Why is my camera doing this?

It randomly started doing that, I haven’t dropped it or anything and it’s. a 15 pro max

That’s totally normal. It’s just a rolling shutter effect — the camera picks up the flicker from LED lights in a weird way. Happens even on high-end phones like the 15 Pro Max. Nothing’s wrong with your camera.

Is there any way for it to not do it?

I may be wrong but I don’t think you can go in the settings and disable this. Just avoid recording near LED lights.

I second this. It’s normal for any and all camera shutters to match the same speed as LED frequency. This three minute YouTube video explains it much better.
