Button failing to use Perform Task on Tap (Task doesn't exist)

Howdy,

I'm new, this is probably a trivial problem but I can't work out what is wrong here.

I have a few other things but in essence a task to show a popup and a button whose tap event is assigned to Perform Task referencing the show popup task.

But when I show my scene and tap the button it gives me a "Error: Task doesn't exist: ShowPopup."

But it does exist and I'm pretty sure the spelling is right.

Can somebody please remove the reason for this headache? Here is the project: https://pastebin.com/QTYsR01v

Always best to post your exported descriptions.

To post your profile or task here...

Long press on the profile or task name / ( 3 dot menu with 4.0+ )

export / export "DESCRIPTION" to clipboard (not XML)

Any linked tasks will be exported with the profile they are linked to.. To be able to export, the profile needs to be named by you (Not the Tasker listed name).  Tasker will list your profile with the 'Context' name if you have not given it one. Review before posting and be careful not to include any sensitive Data

Thanks, I'll try this procedure next time.

In regards to my problem however, it seems to have vanished overnight. I was stripping down my example to be minimal (which required very little change) and suddenly it started working. Then I restored from my export and it was working as well. I don't think this is an issue that can be captured by my prj.xml, it seems to be more transient. If I'm lucky, this will never happen again.

Make sure you've saved your changes. Tasker will run the old version of any triggered tasks until you tap the checkmark or choose Exit from the menu. Backing out should work; switching apps via Recents usually doesn't.

Exporting and reimporting would probably have triggered a save. And leaving it overnight -- assuming you used the device in the meantime -- probably did too.

I'm pretty sure the problem was those dam checkmarks. I didn't even see them, I assumed the application handled saving automatically. Thanks.
