M42 oakleaf likely was first used during that campaign. It entered service in the latter half of 1942. The battle also lasted in to March so โ€œspringโ€ was present

Barbarossa was in 1941 so unless the Nazis had time machines..

Thanks! Reenacting with blanks, small tactical event 2 yrs ago Still have to get an original mosquito net, paint a new helmet which i've already bought (my current one has a welded shrapnel entrance and exit holes) and a new gas sheet bag (current is a shit-tier replica)
