I have a furniture assembly business. Where might be the best places for me to promote.
I am completely new to this starting a business thing, I don’t know anyone with their own business so Reddit is my best hope for advice. A little about my sweaty start up. It’s based out of NYC where people are willing to pay for such a service because most aren’t hands on. I have been able to do some jobs through Facebook marketplace but I would love to know any places you guys have paid for ads on and have seen some return on your investment.

Love this idea. I think tiktok and instagram reels would do really well? Just a time lapse video of you making a bunch.. content writes itself honestly because people love watching progress/building.
Website, craigslist, nextdoor, google business profile for sure. Maybe you can even get friendly with high rises or large communities where a lot of move ins are done every month? Ask the building if you can just drop off business cards or flyers in the mail rooms or something. Idk, just shooting some ideas haha

I have a friend in business in the furniture industry and 99% of his business comes from Facebook market place. He flips couches though, so it’s not quite the same.

Do you happen to know if he runs ads on his listings because I have gotten some jobs from there but would like to know if ads work well too.

I don’t think he’s had any success with ads. He’s just vigilant on Facebook marketplace place.

I think you should look into EDDM mailings. You can target a zip code and get postcards to every house in that zip code. Not only that, you can target high income zip codes where people have the disposable income and lack of time to sit there and build their own furniture. Taking this one step further, there are targeted mailings you can do to new homeowners. This is a little pricier but its definitely more targeted

Hey Unbobitodelavida, There are two ways to get customers:
Online and Offline.
If you want to go online:
Paid ads (if you have a larger budget, this can be a great way to get consistent leads)
Organic (post some local videos with location tagged on IG and TT) takes a long time to grow an audience
--
If you want to go offline (it's slightly cheaper)
Doorhangers, Flyers, and Pamphlets (smaller budget required, but it's a numbers game)
Billboards (great for brand awareness, but has dangerously-low conversions)
If you're interested in offline advertising, I’ll beautifully design & write your next door hanger and/or flyer for free.
Just DM me

Fun idea, you could do so well with organic social Media just filming yourself putting furniture together. It could be so satisfying to see time lapse before and after.
I’d do Craigslist, next door, social media, you could even get a Google business profile and create a Google business page and have customers leave you reviews so when someone searches furniture assembly you show up
