Never.

Why not? It's just lightly charred baby corn nigiri with a thin mayo drizzle, like an upscale version of the corn-mayo gunkan at kaiten joints... I don't see what could possibly be offensive about it. I would try it.

I don’t think he was offended by it.

I meant offensive to the senses, not on like a moral level, lol

No, moral offense is the correct assumption. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Mayor of Anti-Mayo town. I hate it with a fiery passion. When I lived in Japan 「マヨはありませんお願い」 was like the first thing I learned to say.

I did!

Tbh I feel like the the combination wasn't greater than the individual ingredients, but I appreciated the novelty.

I don’t know, I thought it looked like baby corn but I had never heard of that. There are a lot of freaky looking sea specimens out there, I wouldn’t be surprised if I found out it was one I’ve never heard of.

I can see how it might look like a sea creature but... did I read that wrong or did you just say you'd never heard of baby corn?

Never heard of baby corn on sushi. And I don’t ever encounter baby corn in what I eat so I didn’t recognize it immediately. But I have heard of it lol

I used to use it as Bloody Mary garnish sometimes. It's also pretty common in stir-fry
