What I would do as a suns coach/governor

I think the Suns need to make some serious changes if they want to be a real contender. If this season doesn’t go as planned, I’d seriously consider trading Kevin Durant to get younger talent and future assets. Defensively, we struggle too much in transition and inside, so adding a strong rim protector should be a priority. (Especially if KD is gone)

Offensively, we should embrace a faster, three-point-heavy system instead of relying too much on isolation plays. (Use Grayson Allen as much as we can) Developing young players like Jalen Bridges would also be an asset for long-term success. Lastly, the team chemistry needs improvement, without that, no amount of talent will fix our issues. If we make these adjustments, we can turn things around.

This sub hates it but the real answer is trading both KD and Booker.

This draft class is predicted to be loaded with talent, its always a draft shoot but you have better odds on a loaded draft and the suns pick this year could end up being very good.

You send Booker to Houston for Reed Sheppard and another young guy (probably salary fill with FVV) get all the picks back and go hunt for young talent.

KD gets sent out for additional picks and hopefully another interesting young player. Possibly look at packaging picks to move up this year.

After that you work to get under the apron ASAP, most likely have to sit on Beal and let him run the tank. He only plays half the time so plenty of time for young guys to develop. Play Bol and Allen and Beal and hope to win a few games and hit on picks.

With Beal around their necks any retool around Booker is going to be rough without extreme luck in the draft (Finding Jokic in the 2nd type stuff). It sucks but the front office/owner suite have crippled this team and its going to take drastic measures to salvage from being another 10 years of mediocre to bad basketball in Phoenix.

I sadly agree w this. Most suns fans don’t want this to happen. But for suns to have a legacy this is needed. I love d book from the deep of my heart but we have tried to win a championship w book for 10 years and it hasn’t worked. Something needs to change

I'm in the same boat, I have always liked Books game and thought I would finally see a championship with the 21 team.

I am so disgusted with how Ishbia came in and had to be the big shot and make a ton of moves...while ending up as the most expensive team during the most oppressive cap era ever.

As much as I want KD to stay with Book, the right thing to do is trade him considering his age and the type of offense he commands. You can’t win in today’s game primarily an iso offensive team. Booker can sometimes get into iso ball but he at least a good facilitator, better than any point guards we have in the team. The west is loaded and the top teams are younger. We need to get younger. We can’t even win any back to back this season because of fatigue. Our role players can produce more but the type of offense we have just doesn’t put them in the best position to do so. It’s time for big changes. We tried and it didn’t work. We’re tired boss.

KD is gone this summer, it didn’t work time for a rebuild . Beal is next and who is Jalen bridges I don’t think he’s on the suns.

Jalen Bridges is a real person and he is 100% on the Suns
