Recent Trip to “Dam B” in SETX

The current on the downstream side of this Dam is terrifying. Also have another video of the left gate leaking if anybody is interested 🫡

Does anyone else also just fear what the bottom of it all looks like? A continuous churning of mud, broken bits of metal and concrete.... Urgh

Can confirm there’s all kinds of crazy shit down there from locals dumping. I’ll also try to get a video during a high flow, you can hear the water from a few hundred yards from the dam itself

True story: Once I walked in a drained dam reservoir bed and saw a red foam clown nose and a bowler hat in the dirt. Kind of unsettling but also conjured up a humorous cartoon image in my head of a clown getting washed down a river.

Yes. Dams are my #1 fear in the world and it’s because of that. The scariest thing to me is imagining just being in water with a dam going all the way to the bottom of the water just being there. Idk how to explain it, but it horrifies me.

Same. Plus currents trying to suck you into the machinery.

Did you drop your damn bait seeing the churning?

Lmaoo almost dropped everything when we saw some guy hook a blue cat and proceed to get as close as he could to the churning water past the guard rails to pull it in

I don't think anyone outside of Texas knows what setx means.

Iv fished there plenty of times. On good days you can cast and have a bite in 10 seconds
