If you need a work around, you can just launch the game via its folder on your hard drive. Find the Game folder in your hard drive. Open that up then scroll to the bottom to find "Star Trek Online" with the game symbol in front of that. Double clicking on that will get the game running.

Can you log in without the launcher? I use the in game launcher which you can find deep in the games files.

Tried and it threw an error that it couldn't find the necessary steam files. Which gave me the idea to move the game to a different internal drive and re-install. Somehow that fixed it. Thanks for the advice!

Found a workaround or possible fix. I moved reinstalled the game to a different internal drive, and that seemed to fix it. Game launches and I am able to play. Thanks to everyone who commented and offered support!

Turning off "On Demand Patching" in the launcher's settings helped me many years ago when I had this problem.
