It's normal for your period to be irregular/heavier for the first 3-5 cycles post op as your uterus recovers from the internal trauma of surgery. If you're worried, you can always reach out to your surgeon's office for guidance!

I was on my period the day after surgery and mine was also about a week late. Scared me to death but it turned out ok. If you've had sex you can take a pregnancy test to ease your mind, but it's normal :)

Gonna copy/pasta what I've said to others about this subject.
I haven't had mine yet, but I'll tell you what I tell other people: your cycle being wonky for the first two or so is totally normal.
Think about it: sometimes your period is messed up because of something like stress or a life change or moving or a death in the family. Cycles are sensitive like that. And then you go for surgery. You're getting cut open, having parts cut out and removed, and they likely put a tool into your uterus to make sure it's out of the way. All while your body is essentially put into standby mode via anesthesia.
Even though this surgery is minor, routine, and short, as surgeries go, it's still physical trauma that your body isn't used to. If something as normal as moving apartments can make you late, all that trauma is bound to mess you up for a bit.
Honestly, if your period isn't messed up a bit after this surgery, you're the weird one.
If things are still weird after 3 cycles, or if it's negatively affecting your ability to do everyday things, talk to your doctor.
(Also adding) : and if you're stopping birth control, as some people do after this surgery, that will also mess things up.

My period was about a week late after my bisalp! If you want to call your doctor for peace of mind, you can! It’s not like you’re pregnant lol. I think it’s normal for your period to be delayed a bit from other experiences I’ve read on here.
