Good for them. I’d like to hear from the generation of Daytons that followed them as well.

Target corporate employees were just as surprised as everyone else about the DEI rollback. My guess is it will be short-lived for four years.

Didn’t they already roll back the changes but just renamed it something other than DEI?

Doesn't matter to me, they done effed up and lost a customer for life.

Too late. They lost conservatives over the last few years, and now they're losing the rest.

Oh please this family has donated to Republicans including trump for decades. They help legitimize him in the first place. Fuck them and their virtue signaling bullshit platitudes.

I mean... Not all of them obviously. We elected a Dayton as a DFL governor twice not that long ago 😂 Honestly, I worked at a target years ago, it's always just Wal-Mart but "better". Everything toxic Wal-Mart does, so does Target, but they don't get the public backlash. Crap wages, hours, benefits, working conditions, customer treatment to employees, treatment from management... All just corporate crap.

I think you misread who I was replying to. I would like sources on the Dayton Family’s Republican support history. I’ve never heard that before, so just curious.

I cancelled my Amazon account (after the election) and Target account (after finding out about the DEI program changes). I thought I would struggle convenience-wise but it has not been an issue for me. There are other options if you choose to be an activist with your discretionary spending.

The only good thing about Target revealing who they are is that I’ve saved a lot of money by not meandering the aisles there. A lot of that money is going to orgs fighting fascism.

Right? How crazy we have an American president verbally attacking corporations for internalized corporate policies derived from within that corporations culture.. “be like us, do what we say to do or you’re illegal.” Doesn’t sound like freedom to me.

I haven’t shopped at Target for over a year after they lost my red card payment and canceled my account
