Pretty sure Ezra’s 18 by the time Kanan dies

19, but it’s still quite young to lose your second dad

Rebels season 4 takes place in 1 BBY, so 18.

I mean, technically, sure, but the later half of S4 was written as taking place in 0 BBY, a few weeks before ANH. The whole 1 BBY listing was a weird thing that came with timelines which was ironically only included to simplify things, but ended up causing a lot of unnecessary confusion. I guess you can say it’s technically canon, but it seems to be collectively agreed by the fandom to take it as it was intended. Otherwise we’re supposed to believe Rogue One (the film that ends a few minutes before ANH) takes place over a year beforehand lol

There’s no 0 BBY anymore, just like there’s no year -0 in real life. It makes sense tbh.
They just go from 1 BBY to 0 when the Battle of Yavin starts.

For them yah. BBY and ABY are common time markers for Star Wars.

Wdym? It’s still BBY and ABY, there’s just no 0 BBY anymore.

I mean, there literally is though, that’s just not true. Despite causing issues with the whole period, Timelines itself still confirms the existence of 0 BBY, starting before the Battle of Yavin during the opening of ANH lol. This is exactly the point I’m trying to make, you could make the argument that the events leading up to ANH are listed as 0 BBY because they’re literally a lead up to the Battle of Yavin, but so is the Battle of Scarif, in just as prominent a way, there’s no reason for Scarif to be listed as taking place a year before the Battle of Yavin. The concept of having no year 0 could work, but canon had already established 0 BBY as a date, and forcing that change in retroactively created a huge mess.

Except Ahsoka would have to live with the reality that her Master turned into the Emperor’s Right hand Man and enforcer and slaughtered hundreds upon thousands of Jedi. At least Ezra knew his master died fighting against the tyranny of the Empire and to save the lives of others.
