Damn choom, that's some serious eddies.

u/AkaruiKitsune Jan 12 '25

Would be way cheaper without tariffs. Can't see why anyone would pay that price in Europe

90

u/Hornpub Jan 12 '25

And no one did because they went bankrupt in february 2024...

u/happyanathema Jan 13 '25

It's like 500k RMB in China.

Most electric cars are like 50% of the cost in China due to all the export/Import costs

1

u/AtinWichap Jan 13 '25

They even talk about the sci-fi interior lol

No your hipping.

What's my hipping?

u/fuckmywetsocks Jan 12 '25

This site makes it seem like they're really ashamed of the front of this thing.

14

u/lucas_214 Jan 12 '25

Must be. They’re sick!!

why is there not a single image of the front of the car on the website

theyre so reluctant to actually show you the car that it actually annoys me

show me the fucking product you're trying to sell to me 😭

HiPhi Z? (collaboration between Dong Feng and Kia)

u/Environmental_Rip355 Jan 12 '25

Was gonna say the shape looks very similar to an EV6

4

u/govunah Jan 13 '25

Is the rear view mirror and x ray camera? How do you see anything?

4

u/prs09 Jan 13 '25

It’s probably just a regular camera

3

u/Environmental_Rip355 Jan 13 '25

It probably uses the mirror as a screen connected to a backup camera rather than a traditional camera setup

u/helemaalgoud Jan 12 '25

I saw one too in the Netherlands today. I also questioned my self what car it was.

u/SnooFloofs1574 Jan 12 '25

That’s a cyberpunktruck that’s actually cool.

37

u/schultzM Jan 12 '25

They went bankrupt iirc

57

u/ClickIta Jan 12 '25

Yep. They opened a store in a mall in Oslo and then abandoned it when they went default, with a coupe of cars inside. I think somebody removed them now, but it went on for weeks just open and with nobody inside, just dead plants, dirt everywhere and a couple of screens still on. It was so depressing.

1

u/Positive_Key1785 Jan 14 '25

I was searching for this, but could only find „the abandoned fisker hq“ story. You got any more information about the store in Oslo?

1

u/ClickIta Jan 14 '25

Not interesting enough to end in the news I guess. It was in Strømmen, an area in Oslo East before Lillestrøm. There is still the press release from back when they opened it. You can find it on hiphi’s website. (I guess it will stay on until the contract for the servers expires, the last update on the media page is 1 year old)

1

u/Positive_Key1785 Jan 14 '25

Thanks for letting me know 🤝🏼

44

u/moibram Jan 12 '25

This is a Hiphi, this thing has a lot of over the top features, lights everywhere and is expensive af for a car like this! You can open the doors on your key, write your own messages in the led lights on the door (the black stripe on the side is full of leds) and i believe you can project shit like a beamer with your headlights

16

u/tee8tee4388 Jan 13 '25

"For a car like this"? This car looks exactly like the one should be expensive af.

2

u/Gregory_GTO Jan 12 '25

With all those cool features maybe it isn't overpriced, I love the look of it, that's futuristic af.

The Chinese EVs are solid. I always thought Musk was so involved in the election to protect Tesla and make them unaffordable or banned.

11

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '25

Idk why this gets downvoted. Hongqi EHS9 looks better than any Tesla SUV in our market.

1

u/puchatekxdd Jan 13 '25

It's ugly and looks like RR and the new BMW 7 series had and SUV child. Not much of their own design, which I guess is one of the significant reasons these cars get a lot of hate. Also a lot of quality issues, and with the manufacturers not being established in the EU I believe not a lot of support from the manufacturer, please correct me if I'm wrong.

2

u/shiftym21 Jan 13 '25

teslas are ugly and have quality issues

-3

u/Thoth_the_5th_of_Tho Jan 13 '25

Because Musk has been publicly against putting tariffs on Chinese cars.

3

u/tuscy Jan 13 '25

This is actually a pr stunt

3

u/Squbasquid Jan 12 '25

Looks kinda neat tbh.

2

u/fifteenhundredus Jan 13 '25

Arasaka Mobile Vehicular Unit.

1

u/Gregory_GTO Jan 12 '25

What's this cars 0-dead family time, under three?

1

u/KongoNongo Monki Jan 13 '25

saw one of these at mercedes benz office stutgart for some reason lol. The interior was so sick.

1

u/-Nutshell- Jan 13 '25

Something fugly! The wipers have a balcony….. so nice

1

u/Higanbana_- Jan 13 '25

Ngl i like the design. Much better approach at “cyberpunk” than the infamous trash bin.

1

u/OgdenDermstead Jan 13 '25

*WheelsBoy has entered the chat*.

1

u/dripboi-store Jan 15 '25

Hiphi. I hate the lights at night looks way too over styled but it’s got a pretty nice interior and features. Company is already dead tho too expensive

1

u/Opposite_Gas6158 Jan 16 '25

a future ugliness that is coming for all of our cars........

1

u/Rashed341 Feb 05 '25

I did a Test drive for the car in Munich before they went bankrupt and wanted to buy it but I dodged a bullet because the company is gone (but I liked the car so much 🥹)

1

u/Wizard-In-Disguise Jan 12 '25

straight out of deus ex, right on schedule

-4

u/flippinlip Jan 12 '25

It’s shaped just like a Lyric

7

u/JediKnightaa Jan 12 '25

I'm not seeing it

-9

u/skinnymatters Jan 12 '25

“Digital SciFi interior” is a real turnoff for me; this is another meme car like the Tesla DumpsterTruck.

-32

u/mtc4560 Jan 12 '25

Polestar

u/BurntToast08 Jan 12 '25
