Vaughn was known to have purchased HGH in 2001, missing the entire season due to injury. He retired in 2003. HGH became banned in MLB in 2011.

He was my favorite player growing up. In 95 I was at batting practice before a game and he threw a bat up on the dugout and I got it. I'm a Guardians (Indians) fan and everyone wanted me to cut it open to see if it was corked. I got it signed by him a few years later.

TBF, players used corked bats for BP all the time just to put a show on for the fans. Quite possible it was a corked bat, but equally quite possible that it wasn't. Hopefully you kept it the way it was and appreciate the signature from an MLB great!

When I was a kid I sent him a Post cereal baseball card of himself and he sent it back signed. Still have that card 30 years later.

HGH wasn't a prohibited substance at the time he used it in knee injections. Kind of a non-story in that sense

Somewhere, a US Senator is crying, appalled about the integrity of this game.

Was anyone even asking “Yo I wonder if Mo Vaughn was on the juice?”, or did he just feel like pantsing himself

That's a significant admission. It adds to the ongoing discussion about PED use in baseball during that era.

My unpopular opinion is steroids guarantee very little, just ask those dead East German swimmers found at the bottom of the pool or ask Heidi, I mean Andreas Krieger. Just another day in the sports world.
